What a massive turnaround from last year and how you talked about him ... which is it? A quality player having a rough patch, or an average player who had a quality patch last year?

You're labouring the point about his form a bit, before he hit a dip he was probably our most consistent midfielder over the last two years, the alternatives are hardly fantastic, given a few of them couldn't hold down a place ahead of him and they seem in capable of putting together back-to-back performances.

We went tits up last season after he got suspended, that's how great we are without him, funnily enough, in this corresponding game.
