Our Welsh Xavi..

No injury that the club have admitted to. Maybe the gaffer has found out that there's no place in our team for him when Gerrard plays.

We only want him to play because we're playing shit. We were equally capable of similar (worse?) performances with him in the middle of the park last season. We can try like, we need someone to keep hold of the ball, but the midfield is crying out for a bit of class, and we just don't have it.

Must be injured, right? Not even on the bench for the past 2 weeks when we needed him badly...

This is what I find odd... but he is on no Injury list I can find...

I know its desperate but we severely lack options in midfield.. we cant do any worse than giving him a game...

Will he play against MAN UTD in midweek ? you would certainly think so if he is not injured...

If he is indeed injured, then our injury list is Arsenal-esque at the moment: GlenJo, Coutinho, Cissokho, Allen, Coates all out and Agger, Toure, Sturridge, Enrique and Kelly carrying/recovering from knocks, Sakho and Moses still building up fitness... I wonder if our "harder than ever" training regimen has to be scrutinized a little bit.

He might well have been had he played, based on last season and this pre-season's performances.
He's been dire. Must improve, whenever his first game's going to be.

Nobody knows... thats the mystery...

Gonna have to play him soon Lucas is one yellow away from a suspension already

Hansern is convinced he's injured. With what? What injury does he have?

@JamesPearceEcho: Daniel Agger could return for #LFC trip to Sunderland, but Joe Allen will be missing once again as he's still hampered by hamstring injury

You've got to feel sorry for the guy, he's never really got going and now when we could really do with having another look at him...

Joe Allen will not be involved, however, with the Welshman requiring further recovery time from a hamstring complaint before he becomes available again.
"We felt leading up to the Swansea game that Joe's hamstring was getting better," said Rodgers.
"But he still has a bit of time to go on that. He's obviously working hard with the medical team but he's not fit yet."

someone cared to ask about him finally .

that reminds me , i need to put a bet on him not being here at the start of next season .

I don't know where all this conspiracy shit came from. He did his hamstring in weeks ago, and it's a four to six week injury.

Started off Great guns when he first arrived but has been a massive disappointment since then. Injuries have had an influence i am sure, but still. . .

We have good center backs....Agger, Skrtel, Toure, even Sakho...all good players....they are not the reason for our plight. The problem firmly lies in the midfield....till we rectify that, nothing will change. It is a complete misfit of trio we play in there and can't really expect much more than that. If we have to play ageing player like Gerrard in there, the other two must add a lot more than they are to the engine room. Other wise we should drop Gerrard and bring him on in the second half till the end of jan, and prioritize getting a proper midfielder and binning Lucas...

Gerrar'd experience can be valuable but the current midfield is exposing all his weakness....
