He was brilliant going forward, it was an excellent attacking fb performance. Still looks like a ropey defender though. But he could have a part to play I suppose. I suspect that was a shop window performance though.

I wonder if the boss is thinking of playing 3 cb's this season and that's why he's keeping him around, as it wouldn't matter as much that he can't defend for shit.

It was a great performance but its not enough.
If we can get 15 mill for him, we should sell him.

He startes to have some of his usual brain farts towards the end, and made one of those stupid sliding tackles.

Great attacking performance though.

Good job on these highlights, now get him to do a video where he chips the ball into bins and hope some club is as stupid as we are so they pay 10M+

How long has he been here? Three years? And he's only just started to make a few people think he might not be a hopeless liability? That daft jobbernowled dwarf has been sitting around smiling his stupid smile on the bench for ages now, making even Enrique look like a serious footballer by comparison, and he's now suddenly waking from his far from golden slumbers? Stick him in a fairground cannon and blast him out into space.

I don't rate him, he's had his chances, but he's not terrible either. He's a good footballer but a poor defender, if someone is willing to pay £11m plus for him, it probably reflects that mixed quality, he'll do a job for someone and might progress, or might not.

I don't think anyone is "losing their minds", he had a good game last night, we all know he has that in his locker, but he's equally likely to fuck up in the next match.

I'm in no rush to see him sold, but I'm also in no rush to see him start. It won't hurt having him as a squad option.

This. If I see the cunt today I'm gonna glass him

He will stay purely to keep Coutinho here.. He goes, it will push Coutinho closer to the door.. If he can put performances in like he did against Bayern on regular basis.. bonus... He will be like a new signing..

Are Moreno and Coutinho that friendly that the departure of Moreno would impact on Coutinho leaving?

Some of these players leave their home towns as kids to be professional footballers. I'm sure as Adults that can handle new team mates changing clubs.

Yep they are best of freinds, their wives are also best of freinds. They are pretty much inseparable.. Its been well documented in the media..

Seriously, I beleive if he goes, it will give Coutinhio the reason to leave..

For that reason, Moreno will stick around for at least another season..

He played well yesterday and fair play to him. I hope it continues but don’t hold your breath.

Did he benefit from having both Henderson and Can holding more than our midfield last season? With the attacking four, I would suspect that the other central midfielders could hold more and give Moreno more license.

Maybe a decent option against the right opposition?

Coutinho would be more likely to leave if we started selling our better players and kept Moreno.
