Sooooo, the internationals then.

Jota actually playing really well for Portugal.
Does anyone think that our front 3 shit brains are playing badly to get out of the club ? - its amazing they are playing well for their national teams - even Diaz right ? - I can only think they are playing like this to get out of LFC.

Not sure about that, some actually just give that little extra when they play for their national team.
It means more to them.

But Jotta has been so so shit - that he plays like a guy who turns up to work with a hangover its been that bad.
Diaz looks like he is training and practice of his dribbling skills to see if he still has it.

I have to say Jota looked more comfortable playing for Portugal. They play in a style more suited to him.

Lamine Yamal. 17 years old and a superstar but 60 odd games last season and potentially 50-55 this season. Major injury or burned out early on the cards.
He could be done by his late 20s like Rooney, Raheem and Sterling.

Yes, the goals against Minerva in the 4th division are really something to brag about.

But isn't that the point? You score against what's in front of you.

If you're gonna be all "I've played much more than you", then at least back it up with stats that matter other than minutes FFS.

I'm not even dogging out szob for his stats here. I'm digging him out for starting on someone when he shouldn't be

Canada downed the Americans again last night to take third in the CONCACAF Nations League. First time since 1985 we've beaten them twice in a row.

Other than a really slick move leading to their goal, they looked drab and uninspired. Pochettino won't be there long if he can't get a better tune out of them.

Encouraging performance from Canada, especially given injuries to both fullbacks. Jonathan David took his goal well and would be a good Jota replacement for us IMO.

Canada got a chip on their shoulder against the Americans now. Not surprised they've won.

Our ire is definitely up. Victories here and in hockey recently have been good for national spirit.

Americans looked quite drab overall though. They're not going far at World Cup like this.

I fully expect Trump will threaten tarriffs against any country USA is playing unless they let them score into an open goal.

Well, maybe he could help by building a wall... In goal.

'cause if Matt Turner is your starter, you're not going that far. Ask Forest last season.

There is also the quality of international football issues. Diaou and Diouf looked very good in international football also.

Spot on. International football is slower, hence why you see 35 year old players playing well in international tournaments.

I fell into that trap myself when I wanted that slow Moroccan midfielder who Man U then signed.

37 - Argentina's second goal against Brazil (Enzo Fernández) involved 37 passes during the entire previous possession, the second-highest tally for a goal in this South American Qualifier (behind Venezuela's 56 against Chile in 2023). Net.

This is why Macca should be played further forward - not only a far better creator than Szobo but he scores some sensational goals too.
