He's really embarrassing himself these days. One of the great things about Klopp is how he rises above it all and never seems inclined to snipe at other managers, even though they sometimes line up to have a pop at him - Poch, Maureen, Allardyce, Dyche, Warnock, Guardiola, Saint Chris of Hughton, the list goes on. He never gets praised for it, either.
Not directly no, but it's a huge part of why he's almost universally liked, because you don't see him moaning, being bitter, and deflecting criticism.

“In the past couple of years, Liverpool have invested a lot of money,” the Argentine stressed to ESPN . “I need a washing machine, your wife asks you for a washing machine. Now I need a door, a lightbulb, a bed.
“But for us, due to a number of circumstances, we’ve tried to produce young players with great futures such as Harry Kane, Dele Alli, Eric Dier, Kieran Tripper or Harry Winks.
ha. ha. ha.

he produced Delle Alli from MK Dons when he was 19, Eric Dier from Sporting when he was 20 and Trippier from Burnley when he was 25.
we bought Allison when he was 26 from Roma and Van Dijk from Southampton at 27.

he should sell his grandfather clock and buy the sofa and washing machine like we did. or sell his arse to arab sheikh like Man City does.

Buying Delle Alli at 19 from MK Dons for £5m was inspired and he's turned him into one of the best players in the league.

We bought Allison (26) and Van Dijk (27) for a combined total of £142m.

It's not the best rebuttal I've ever read.

he said he produced them. he's not. he bought them at an age where they already be able to play for the first team.

we bought Allison and Van Dijk from the sale of one of our star player. Why don't he try to sell one of his best player and buy two player that can make his team better like Klopp does.

He deserves credit for the players that Kane and Dele Alli have become, to claim otherwise is absurd. Even the much-maligned Eric Dier is probably worth 10 times what he paid for them.

In many cases he's had to put his faith in players who weren't ready, who needed coaching and development and who no other club took a chance on. Dele Alli "ready and able to play for the first team"? What the fuck are you on about? How come nobody else paid £5m then? Why didn't he cost £50m?

The closest Klopp has to that at Liverpool is probably Robertson, or does he get no credit for that because we bought him from fucking relegated Hull?

You're talking shit, but do carry on, it's funny.

Appaz they've all decided that only reason they're not walking the league is that City don't spend enough money. I shit you not. They're saying they win the league, then don't spend any money in the window straight after, so that's why they go to shit. Nevermind the billion quid they've spent on players. All these players must have a 1 season use by date on them.
They're undoing is that they are trying to go for the Quadruple. Klopp prioritised and in the current context, it looks like it's paying off as our players have longer rest period between games.

I don't think Trippier is very good, but using your Klopp "argument" he sold one of his best players in Walker for £50m, and replaced him with Trippier, who cost £3.5m

But really, your argument is that he should have spent all of that £50m on two players....God, it's all over the shop

Let's not speak too soon. We'll find out in eight hours

Yes Poch has done well,

But at the end of the day I don't think they can ever win the league.... They just haven't got the pull or wage structure like the bigger sides in our league.

Liverpool are way bigger than them in many areas and that allows us to get the players they just can't get.

They've done well the last ten years developing players and getting in some good foreigners, but that's it....

Why does that equate to them being seen on a par with Us, Utd etc?

If someone came along with a stupid bid for Kane or Alli they would go

I was under the impression that Delle Alli was considered a top talent that a lot of clubs were after, including us - wasn't there some story about him getting pissed off that Gerrard, who he wanted to meet, was asleep when he was visiting?

They're not really, they have overachieved for the last few years, in terms of league position and CL qualification, but they can't compete with anyone else in and around the Top 4 or 5 for wages or transfer fees, and nor do they pretend otherwise.

I'm not sure if Poch, Levy or their fans genuinely think they'll win the league, or what new financial power this amazing new stadium will bring (or the exact opposite!), but their business model under Levy has been the definition of a tight ship - they don't really extend themselves financially in a mad dash for glory, and nor do their owners put in hundreds of millions to help.

The new stadium, Poch, and players like Kane and Ali, plus London, will always be a pull for players (especially younger, ambitious ones), but it's hard to compete for players everyone else wants when they can offer twice the wages.

Like I said when FSG were bollocking on about Moneyball and being the smartest guys in the room (just like Enron) there IS no other way to consistently win titles, other than spending money.

Yeah I heard that Gerrard story.

Could have been so different

If we really wanted him badly enough and saw what a fantastic talent he apparently ALREADY CLEARLY WAS, then Gerrard would have been awake, and we'd also have offered to pay £30m. That would have got the deal over the line, I reckon.

Behave

We fucked about, no doubt, but he wasn't already a great talent, he needed to develop

That list suggests that Poch has a point….. 😀

No, it doesnt, cos he's not moaning about citeh, Utd, Chelsea & Arsenal, the reason he isn't is cos they're not top, we are.

Which means it's actually a fucking compliment & proves we've bought & developed players much better than our rivals have, despite spending less than four of them.

As for Coutinho, of course that fee skews the figures, but we took a gamble in buying him for just 8m (I think that was the fee anyway) when few other sides wanted him, & we developed him, so it's still a compliment regardless!

It’s amazing how many on blue fume work with Liverpool fans who act like compete twats. These Liverpool fans come out with shite I’ve never heard any others say.

Or it’s completely made up.

Where does one find Manchester City fans anyway? In real life? I only know one, and he's not a Manc, but he is a thick, loudmouthed cunt; however I do think he has actually always been a Man City fan.

Whenever you scroll through a Twitter timeline, all the City fans seem to be called things like "GuardiolaEra" or "PepKnows" or have names like Obwemi Kafezi and Agamba Olakafenku and post memes about Africans dancing or making stupid faces, whatever the result has been.

My sister managed to marry one somehow, and she's the least twatty fella I've known her to be with so fair play. He also is more likely to read a newspaper to keep up to date with sport than use Twitter, so that probably helps

Genuinely never met one

The ongoing delirium of Man City fans, with their paranoia, manic self-justification, "We're The Real Manchester Club" persona and overriding persecution complex and insecurity is a perfectly awful hint at what it would be like if The Bitters ever become successful and rich again.

Belfast and Oldham? No wonder you like Rangers and Leeds. I'm surprised you've got opposable thumbs.
Woah woah woah!!! I dont fucking like Leeds!!!! Nobody likes Leeds.
Rangers and Oldham, Roma and Wycombe

Thats my lot.
