Indeed. Injuries/suspensions can derail a season very quickly. Let's hope our luck there holds.

One thing that has surprised me, was that I thought City were going to put us under a lot of pressure. Not drop any more points etc, etc. But having seem them today, they didn't look hungry to win. Seems like all those 5 and 6 Nil wins have got them complacent.

The fire and momentum they had when they beat us, seems to have been extinguished. The only way I can see them getting that fire back is if we lose tomorrow. They will know it was a huge let off and wouldn't want to give us that breathing space again. Should we win, I can see them going through the periods of playing games without as much urgency as their crowd will lack a bit of belief (and they could prioritise the CL).

Like I said after our City defeat. I'd rather be in our position than theirs. And tomorrow every City fan will tune in to watch us. Hoping for a Leicester miracle win. The statement we send out will affect their next 3 games, for better or worse.

I thought the same. But unlike other games they have lost where they dominated for large parts and couldn't finish, they were poor against Newcastle.

Nobody played well.

It will be a big a statement if we can win tomorrow by any scoreline.

Even a scrappy nervy 1-0 will give them the feeling that we just aren't going to lose.

I'm already shitting it.

Bristow has just told me that bluefume is down. Or at least it was at just after 10.

Mjst have collapsed under the weight of their tears.

Their bus actually exploded without any attack. It just spontaneously combusted. They actually put the 'bus' in 'spontaneously combusted'.

Not quite a forum meltdown, but something similar:

Actually old Poch has always been especially wound up by Klopp. Klopp's first ever game for LFC, Poch has a face on him like a slapped arse. He's moaned and sniped and sneered ever since, as if he feels it's a straight choice between him and Klopp. It's getting embarrassing now, he can't control himself. If he has a problem with transfers, he should talk to Daniel Levy, it's nothing to do with any other club.

Just been looking at Sad Cafe. So much bitching about about Tom Heaton time wasting. Top tip for arrogant fucktard football clubs; don’t casually discard good players as if they were so much trash and then wonder why they play like Lev Yashin next time they come back.

Ding ding ding ... I've thought this for a while now ... Pep's infatuation (& fear) of Klopp has seeped into his squad imo - and us being on their tail the 1st half of the season didn't help ...

Not a forum meltdown, but the conspiracy theories have reached the BBC comments section :

there's a conspiracy... the league is conspiring to give City tougher fixtures then their rivals....
This is true apparantly. They are now scheduled to play Chelsea and Spurs away twice and have no games against Huddersfield or Cardiff. Its a disgrace really

Whats up with these lot talking about players like they are furniture.
Is poch taking the piss out of rafa?

Funny thing is Ole is doing well at united and might even get the job full time leaving poch at Spurs with chairs instead of defenders

Well Poch said a couple of days back that Spurs could be as big as Real Madrid as everything is in place.

Yesterday he is bemoaning the fact they haven't spent as much as we have, completely ignoring the fact that at least four other clubs have spent more than us (net obv) since Klopp came in.

He's lost the fucking plot.

I actually thought Pep's strategy in the cups was gold - get really good momentum but something isn't right with City. They're a fucking great team, but it's just weird. Long may it last.

Complacency, once they scored so early they thought it would be a cake walk.

Yeah. They're knackered. They couldn't step it up at all when they went behind last night... which is why bringing the Ev game forward to next week must have seemed like a good idea at the time, but could just make things worse for them.

Bluefume is almost unanimous in wanting to de-prioritise the league and focus on the CL (fingers crossed their either stumble against Shalke or get a tough draw next round) - I wouldn't actually be 100% surprised if Pep took this approach if they don't beat Arsenal on Sunday. Our relentless form has got us living rent free in the head of every single City player. You can just tell they've given up in the league. I expect them to win the Carabao Cup and probably get to the FA Cup final which might placate some fans - but this could be epic if they don't get themselves up (and quickly) for the next 7 days of games against Arsenal, Everton & Chelsea.

Everything is right about City...I posted a few months ago at the ease with which they were winning and why the PL was not standing up to them. But no ... the PL is standing up to them and what Pep has to realise is that in this league there is no winning formula regarding the type of football that will get you easy wins with that amount of regularity. Newcastle were brilliant in the way they slowed them down and gradually limited the passing angles for City. Also City's defence ... such a high line and complete arrogance .. what Pep has to realise is that his players need to show the near same level of aggression they showed against us to really be in control of these games and to be honest as great as those players are they dont have that quality in them. The other issue he has is that they dont have any proper leaders in that team...well not yesterday ... Pep is the leader and organiser. Finally Newcastle had the very rare attribute last night of not falling asleep when city were passing it around side to side etc.. they kept everyone of the opposition in their sights so Sane and Sterling were limited somewhat.

Pep...this aint Spain or Germany !!!

inshallah - let the blueshite rain hell on those fuckers (though we both know what they'll rain down)
