They use Fellaini in the same way we used to use Steven Caulker... except he actually scores which is rather frustrating. Hope they get absolutely destroyed in the next round.

Its an odd year in European football, the likes of Barca, Real and Bayern are all off form. Ive a horrible feeling City will win it this year.

They're looking like the best bet at the moment for sure... unless Juve go on some snidey spawny run.

But we'll beat them. I mean we beat them last year and we're better now.

Although we beat them last year through our equivalent of footballing blitzkrieg, a style that we seem to have parked in the pursuit of defensive stability. I think our new pragmatic style, whilst beneficial in terms of the league season as a whole, plays into City's hands. They don't like being relentlessly attacked and harried. We've not been doing that.

I believe we can unleash it at a whim. Difference to last year is we don't have to now.

Think it's juventus' time. They've got to a lot of finals in recent years they've had no right to.

Maybe atletico?

To be fair, looking "off form" in November hardly means anything in terms of predicting who will emerge with the trophy in May.

There is an old Hindu proverb which says "He who bases Champions League predictions, based on group stage form, is a blithering idiot"

No offence

if you remove the matches between the top 5 and check the results against the rest of the league you get the following:

Liverpool: Dropped 0 points
No Dropped Points

City: Dropped 1 point
Wolverhampton Wanderers 1:1 Manchester City

Tottenham: Dropped 3 points
Watford FC 2:1 Tottenham

Chelsea: Dropped 4 points
West Ham United 0:0 Chelsea
Chelsea 0:0 Everton

Arsenal: Dropped 4 points
Crystal Palace 2:2 Arsenal
Arsenal 1:1 Wolverhampton Wanderers

United: Dropped 12 points
Brighton & Hove Albion 3:2 Manchester United
Manchester United 1:1 Wolverhampton Wanderers
West Ham United 3:1 Manchester United
Manchester United 0:0 Crystal Palace
Southampton 2:2 Manchester United

Dropping points in 5 fixtures so far. We have more loses against the bottom clubs than the other 5 put together. This is why top 4 is a pipe dream this season imo.
