Sturridge and Sakho do both start
Sakho starting is good. Although five games too late.
Sturridge starting is good news for the season, but starting him in an away game after so long out is perhaps a bit of an unnecessary gamble. We have two fit forwards in Ings & Benteke, so I don't see the need to start him myself.

We're at home mate. Still does seem like a big gamble. Was expecting a 10-15 minute run out for him myself.

In fairness to Rodgers sturridge does have form to come back scoring (although he then has a drop in form for at least few games til he's fully match fit again), so I guess he thinks it'll help kick start us.

Lucas makes the most tackles in the league a game almost every season. To say that he can't tackle is rubbish. He is also giving away very few freekicks, around one a game. Lucas have other weaknesses but he is an excellent tackler. Milner have played much worse than him and Can have been even worse.
Making the most tackles doesn't mean he's good at it. He's had spells when he did OK, but he's not in one now, and I'd like to know what your reference to "around one" free-kick a game is based on - likewise that extraordinary nonsense about Milner playing "much worse". Can hasn't played well so far, but isn't a DM and has massively more potential than Lucas ever will. We need Lucas at DM only because we don't have better.
His reference to "one free kick a game" is about as accurate as his recent assertions about us having no players who've won anything, or the one about all these players who've come out and called Rodgers a liar. ie, he's making shit up. Has he forgot about the United game when he was booked for persistent fouling?
I doubt it registered in the first place. That space in his head is occupied by "Lucas is ace" and there's no room for anything else there.
