How the fuck Rodgers isn't trying to play ings with Benteke I have no fucking idea. Benteke needs a partner alongside him who can take the ball & turn into players, get into space & simply tie up defenders so he can fully utilise that pace without relying on predictable through balls all game. Ings needs a partner who can also drag defenders away, who can get into space using pace so when he brings the ball down & turns defenders he actually has someone to feed the ball to.

There's nothing about the potential partnership that makes me think it won't work, except the bloody manager.
