Keita next year will still ensure our midfield has no player capable of protecting our back 4, which means we'll have the same problem.

We were on the edge of their box, the centre halves had one player to watch and fucked it up, it's not on the midfield, it's on the defenders switching off. I know that fails to suit your anti-Henderson agenda though.
 
Obviously the midfield doesn't help things there, but that still should've been bread and butter defending.

You could feasibly argue that we have the worst defence in the league.
 
Mane deserves about a 1 for this first half performance.
Utterly awful.

Decent performance all round and we deserve to be leading.
They arent very good and if we pick the pace up we will run away from these.

We need much more from the midfielders.
 
Mane's been quite disappointing since his suspension. Salah would be a brilliant player if he could shoot with both feet. Again, generally, if the passing in and around the box was kept simple and quick we'd be three up by now.
 
The goal is on Matip - he was inexplicably back pedaling when he needed to take one quick step forward and leave Joselu offside. Was it because he didn't trust Lovren to step up too (although it seemed like he did that time)? Whatever it was, just like Klopp, I feel absolutely sick of conceding easily preventable goals.
 
We all made fun of Coutinho over the summer but I reckon I'd have been sobbing at home knowing I had another year of this to endure. I'm actually starting to feel sorry for him.

Matip and Lovren can both fuck off.

God that was dire. Matip should have stepped up and played offside. He's so overrated.

His reptilian slithering slower than an iceberg back and effete half tackle weren't much cop either.

He's a really poor defender.
 
Can't rely on Mane to pull the strings every game which is what he's done pretty everytime since he signed....

And when was the last time 1 goal was enough to win us the game? not merely enough
