Randy Lerner's quoted in "The Times" today as saying he wouldn't have a problem with Barry running his contract down.

Probably is just tactics. But then again, if Villa add to their squad over summer and retain Barry, they have a real chance of getting CL qualification which may be worth more than his transfer fee. Although there is no guarantee they'll get into the top four next season, I certainly can't see them doing it without Barry.

I can't see them breaking into the top 4.

If city spend another Million (but this time on better players like 4-5 good first teamers) I think they could possibly be the ones in with a shout....

That'd give 'em a decent midfield for a change. If they sorted out the defence as well, things might get interesting.
