We simply haven't played that well yet, other than in spurts, against shite.
The team that we are playing today is poorer than last season. We like to have Benayoun in the side because he links to attack. Alonso used to do that, now we have to sacrifice width to do it. They have defended well, but they are also defending quite a small space, as we have no left flank, and the only way we have a right is with the full back. Given that they have pace on the counter, it's an issue.

league challenge over it seems in fucking august. well that's the risk you take when you sell one of your best players and replace him with someone who won't be fit till october. oh and in the meantime play lucas when the world can see the right thing is to drop gerrard into midfield.

Yes, the defence has been atrocious since he came. :🙂 Reina ought to be far too professional to lose his concentration in that situation, it just seemed inevitable what was going to happen. And Torres has been elbowed and kicked non-stop, but he's already been told to expect it and get on with the game. He's really in such a negative frame of mind right now.

liverpool's problem is the same as the CL 1/4 final with chelsea, if you give the oppersition set piece after set piece you WILL get punished.
Ever since the first goal they've been first to everything. Our central midfield is non-existent. Masher is practically playing as a centre back and Lucas doesn't appear to want to accept the responsibility of channelling the play.
Of course, I'm not blaming Lucas for the performance but some people should be asking some serious questions of themselves in that dressing room.

I was thinking of asking about those subscription stream sites where it's £2 a month and perfect quality, but if this is what's on offer it might be better being limited to 10 seconds in every minute
