I would replace the Ox half time, his performane has been inadequate... Give Minamino, or Shaqiri a run out

I don't think there's a HUGE lot wrong. Even just passing faster would improve things no end. But some players are certainly a bit sloppy by their usual standards.

That's how i see it, too. Sluggish in just about everything.

Yeah, it's just a bit off. Not massively.

Hopefully Hendo comes on, he'll get the tempo up.

It is all just a bit slow. I’ve probably said that loads at half time this season. And we’ve won loads of games after saying it.

Yep. Think Klopp is going back to the 'minimise legs but do just enough to win matches' approach in preparation for next season starting soon after this.

Next season will be the third of trying to get 100 points. City couldn't do it & they have a deeper & higher quality squad than we do, so there's nothing wrong with it.

We seem to be playing at a pace as if we are two goals to the good

That was a hard watch.

A much different performance than against City, though. This is just slow and ponderous, and completely devoid of all guile and invention. At least against City we looked like we could score. Barely mustered a shot here.

We signed Minamino to be Firmino's understudy for the false 9 role. No point in signing him if we're not ever going to use him in that role.
Think we will see Minamino come into his own only when we play him behind the front three

Which is how we played a lot of games this season in the first half tbf. Only were a little more rusty now
I am good with us being patient but I am not confident we will be able to click through the gears at will today

I think we actually need to slow the game down and be more patient with our approach play. Get Villa defending deep in their half, play fewer early crosses, which are being cleared with ease by their defenders and go for more intricate play like the little pass from Mane that found Keita free in the box. Origi is not doing much that's useful, but I'm not sure about sending in Minamino at this point – I think we need to go full strength with Bobby. Ox needs to get himself into the game, if he doesn't after 10-15 minutes, get Hendo on.

Hendo is the big loss for me. He controls our tempo & without him it doesn't work as well.

I'd have ox off & Hendo on

That's all Chamberlain for me. He forces it too much.

I’m sure if the crowds were at anfield someone would have brought a beach ball with them to put Reina off.
