Luis Suarez - Random Shite

What buggers me is that we allowed the fucking Mancs With Fergie at the very head of it mug Suarez, and a lot of our fans said they were right..... From the moment he arrived and tear them a new asshole in one of the first games, Fergie was on his back, and part of our fans acknowledged this. It is fucking insane.

I don't think it's fair to say we let them mug Suarez.
The club stood for him with the manager taking a leading role in defending him.
I believe most fans also stood by him, and it was a small (yet vocal) minority said the mancs were right.

Yeah we let the mancs mug him, forget the whole fucking club wearing a fucking we bone suarez tshirt..

Suarez was backed 100% by two different managers of this club

[article]Suarez’s first hat-trick for Barcelona at the weekend, in their 8-0 win over Cordoba, took his goals tally to 24 for the season. He has scored 20 since the turn of the year — only one fewer than Cristiano Ronaldo in the same period.[/article]

I don't think we will ever see a talent like Suarez, and will never be able to buy someone like him.

Rodgers needs to get his tactics right such that he is not too reliant on one single player.

I don't think we will ever have any greater struggle than other British teams at trying to get the next big thing.

Keeping hold of that player will be the problem..

Amazing stats n all, but look who they're fucking playing against. FC Corona and the likes. Balotelli would score against those cunts.

Great.... let's swap them then - Barca can have Balloteli and we'll have Suarez.

.... you know.... to score against the wee teams... [emoji6]

Yep. There was an article about Depay supposedly favouring a move to us because he would get game time and that he saw the benefit it had on Suarez's career. Now you can interpret that as meaning he thinks he'd get the best chance to develop his game at us, or views a move to us as a perfect stepping stone.

Getting the players in tends to mainly come down to paying the money; keeping them is much more difficult. I've no doubt we would have paid Suarez as much as Barcelona are, but at that point we weren't a good enough club to keep him when one of the very best comes along.

Yep Depay could well be using us as a stepping stone. That or he could be using us to smoke out bids from other clubs. Either way, he is probably using us.

If he's using us fair play, it's our job to make sure we get good enough whilst he's here for him not to want to leave.

I'm ok with him using us, as long as we use him as well.

Exactly.

Man Utd were competing for the PL and the CL and were willing to pay him whatever he wanted. None of this stopped Ronaldo from leaving when Real came calling. United were certainly the better team then.

But United made the most out of Ronaldo on the pitch and he helped them win stuff despite being blatantly disloyal.

it feels like we're the fat single girl nobody wants to go out with for very long

and the only players we can find are like the desperados and weirdos she'd find on some dating website

To be fair, La Liga stats shouldn't really count. Apart from the big 2 and whoever else is flavour of the month, it may as well be the New Zealand Premier League.

I wasn't using the "shit teams in La Liga blah blah blah" remark to denigrate Suarez. He's a remarkable footballer, I don't need told that.

I do think it's fair to say though that the Elche's, Cordoba's, etc of the football world are fucking easy beats though.

So they're like the Hull & Burnley of Spanish football.

They're far far worse than that. Hull & Burnley have got results against the top sides throughout the year. The Cordoba's of the world are getting dicked 14-0 by Real and Barca sides going half at it.

Maybe Suarez has found his Spanish Norwich.

Suarez is easily better than neymar at EVERYTHING. Neymar wishes he had suarez's all round game.

No hes not, Neymar is a much better dribbler, more skillful and hes at least a yard quicker. Suarez is a great player but Neymar isnt some no mark Borini type who is being made a show of, plus hes 5 years younger than Suarez so hes likely to get better over the next couple of years Suarez is likely at his peak now

You may be right when stating that Neymar is a better (much? not sure) more skillful (not sure here either), and quicker (don't know so I'm not arguing) than Suarez. He's definitely younger.
But, you don't judge a footballer for each of those admittedly important qualities. There is much more in a footballer than that, and sometimes a footballer is greater than the sum of his qualities. This is definitely the case with Luis Suarez. How can you quantify his leadership, his motivator qualities, and his never-say-die attitude?
Does Neymar have all those qualities? I doubt it. We'll have to see. But for the time being I'd take Suarez over Neymar,

I was responding to a post that stated Suarez was better than Neymar at everything. Which hes not.
