I read your post, and I read it again. You're suggesting the win ratio would prove a striking difference between results with and without him. Well given we don't have another holding midfielder, it's a bit of a flawed point. It's clearly, in this set up, better having a half decent one, than none at all, but we need to improve on him. He's not essential to us by any stretch, the only reason he's such an ever present is because we have zero competition, despite our midfield consistently being overran by opposing teams.
I wasn't trying to be arsey with you, for the record, Modo is clearly off on one using Henderson as an excuse for Lucas' poor game.

But I wasn't the one saying that Henderson's running and harassing will stop Arsenals midfield before the game. Lucas and Gerrards job yesterday was to defend but they were over crowded. Henderson's job was to help them and help in attack and he did neither.
Still, Henderson has a long way to go before he becomes my pet hate. I just don't want him in the starting line up.

No, the reason it's shyte is that is completely knee-jerk. It's just funny, any time we lose you can bet someone will start a thread about Lucas, whether his performance had anything to do with the loss or not. Do you really think Lucas was the main culprit in the loss yesterday? And if not, then why did you start a thread about Lucas and not one of the players who were bigger culprits?
