I think mine has to be coutinho.
Is it just me or has Suarez become a bit of a forgotten man in recent weeks?
With all the talk of Sturridge and Coutinho I kinda forgot all about him.
This is the correct answer.Hehehe. Anyone who picks someone other than Suarez needs their head examined.
This is the correct answer.
Coutinho has played less than 15 games ffs
No. Just no.But look at those results in those 15 games. I don't know if there is stats out there with average points tally with Coutinho but he has in my view been the difference.
As opposed to Suarez's 30 goals making fuck all difference, you mean? But look at those results in those 15 games. I don't know if there is stats out there with average points tally with Coutinho but he has in my view been the difference.
@LeTallecWiz asked me if you could add the options for Lampard & Terry ?
Player of the (calendar) year: Coutinho
Player of the year (seasonal - 2012/13): Suarez
Even if you just considered the games in 2013, it's hard to put Coutinho above Suarez at this point, though it'd be a closer contest. Suarez scored 10 goals and helped make 3 others in the league in that stretch, while Coutinho has scored twice and made 5 goals.
Also, in 2013, Suarez:
- scored the equalizer at the death of the game to earn a point at home against Chelsea
- earned the late penalty that led to all 3 points at home against Spurs
- almost single-handedly dragged us out of the pits at home against Zenit in the 2nd leg of the Europa League game
- scord a hat-trick in a 4-0 rout against Wigan
- was involved in all 3 goals (scored 2, assisted 1) away against Sunderland
Sturridge actually has got 10 goals and 3 assists since his arrival as well.
Can't wait for the new season to roll around and Suarez to finish serving his ban. It's going to be sexy when he's back.
