Suarez and Lucas were superb today. I'm really not liking the look of Cissokho though, please play Enrique against Arsenal.

Another 3 points.

Suarez show. As per.

Very efficient performance from the lads, still don't think we played a particular good game overall. At this stage the 3 is all that matters though, well done!!

Average side being propped up by two great strikers. There is some potential here but serious surgery is required on the midfield and we need to settle on the defence.

So nothing new really but scored some top class goals today. Sturridge's was probably the best.

Cissokho for such a big guy is a bit of a shithouse. I watched him on a few occasions reluctant to really put himself about - unlike Sakho for example who will do anything to win the ball. He'll need to improve drastically to win a deal for me because if we are going to sign a LB I'd rather it be an improvement on Enrique.

I like Henderson and I want him to succeed but he's still yet to find that extra edge and consistency and if it doesn't happen this season he's probably going to find himself on the bench more and more.

I defended Cissokho last week but he's never a defender. Enrique back would be great. We could have had about 15 goals from Suarez and Studge today.

Great goals from SAS. Individual skill behind all four goals.
Lucas was immense.

Still not convinced of our back line.

Ratings:

Mignolet 7 - Didn't do anything wrong but he's very shaky at set pieces.

Johnson 7 - Ran up and down the pitch all game. Seems to thrive in that wing back position.

Skrtel 6 - Did OK, but he needs to stop making silly mistakes. Gave the ball away a couple of times today. Fluffed shot as well.

Sakho 7 - Starting to love this guy. Quick, athletic, strong, good in the air. He can only get better.

Touré 7 - Solid. Did put a foot wrong.

Cissokho 6 - At fault for the penalty, though it was very dodgy. Had good first half, disappeared in the 2nd.

Lucas 8 - Immense, yes we missed him against Newcastle.

Gerrard 7 - Very smart play from our captain. Seems to be more comfortable having Lucas beside him.

Henderson 6 - Ran his legs off as usual and played in an unfamiliar role but he just misses to many chances, shouldn't really play there.

Suarez 10 - Magnificent, magic, sublime.

Sturridge 8 - I was gonna give him a 6 until he scored that goal. Wonderful technique.

Can't wait to see Coutinho in this line up.

Easy win as predicted

Lucas was superb for 90 mins for a change

Skrtel is my fav cb, he gets a toe or head to everything

Cissoko is fucking rubbish and should be canned

Suarez making Rosco look like a muppet more and more every week

Best player in the league by far

Bring in Coutinho and Enrique and Moses and switch to 4231 for the arse game

Normally I would enjoy a 4-1 win, but it is very hard to do when we are playing unusual formations and even let the opposition have the ball for 10-15 minutes.

Well done Dreambeliever, Skrtel was probably our weakest player today.

A good win and some brilliant goals. Thought Suarez, Sturridge, Gerrard, Lucas were standout. Mignolet didn't really have anything to do.

Still don't like this 3 at the back shit.

Looking forward to having Coutinho back, didn't miss Moses or the messiah Alberto.

A very good win going into the big game next weekend.

Spot on with hendo, lacking that cutting edge, failing to execute key passes and shots, I love his attitude though.

Kelly looked very off the pace and possibly lost a yard of pace? Cissokho looks weak too.

SaS unreal. Back 3 immense.

Ming did an incredible save, but still a little shaky

It would be criminal to play this formation against Arsenal.

They'd have 70% possession and even though they can't contain our strikers for a whole game they'd probably score 3 or 4.

Personel aside really as we simply can't seem to find the right balance with 3 at the back. Hope Rodgers sees this too.

He won every header, cleared a goal off the line, kept Anichbe in his pocket, made countless blocks.

Oh wait he hit 3 stray passes so obviously he was the worst defender.

I take you had a shit stream and couldn't see our LW all game who was so bad he deserves a minus score

He cleared a ball off the line alright but Anelka never should've been allowed to connect with it in the first place. Bad timing from Martin. He also gifted WBA their second chance in the first half heading a ball straight back into play.

I am not talking about his passing game or his misshit but simply of his dodgy defending at times today. The poorest of the three in the back today imo.

Mark has had a go at me in a closed thread. Nicely done.

Can you keep it in here where I can make a reply or was it your intention to keep it reply-free?

Suarez was great, so was Lucas. Sturridges goal was incredible. Sakho looking better but i still think he can get turned too easily. Cissokho had moments of looking ok and other were rabbit in the headlights esque. Skrtel still needs to get some composure and learn how to pass under pressure.

+

- I was impressed how fluid we looked even with such a defensive-looking team. The solution Rodgers found for the times we don't have a playmaker is that Suarez and Sturridge both dropped quite deep in search of the ball and became de-facto playmakers. That worked.
- Gerrard and Lucas both had a good game and Henderson's passing has improved this season compared to last. So we didn't miss Coutinho as much as when Moses was playing.
- Coutinho is back next week.
- SAS scored beautiful individual goals
- I like that Rodgers chose to substitute Gerrard for Allen. Stevie definitely doesn't need to go for the "every minute of every game" achievement this season.

-

- The kind of audacious goals SAS scored today will not find the net every week. The only "normal" goal was Suarez's 3rd, the rest were beautiful exactly because they are so rare. Let's enjoy them now, but don't expect this every week, it ain't gonna happen.
- Henderson needs to score some goals with all the chances he is getting. But it will come, I think.
- Cissokho is suspect defensively. I have a hard time seeing how he can stay beyond his loan deal, unless there is a dramatic improvement.
- Hope Johnson is all right. Kelly looked rusty (which is understandable)

3 at the back to me has seemed more like a desperate solition than a masterplan, but then again Rodgers did spend big on a CB without flogging any so maybe I am wrong?

I hope not.

It's a funny game football, as my opinion at the match was that Skrtel was superb but get home and come on here and I find people saying he wasn't great.

Must be some shit streams out there or something. Baffling.

Suarez, Lucas, Skrtel were the best 3 on the park although I thought Sakho did very well too.
