Shawcross is out for Stoke, as is Higginbottom.

That means Huth, Collins, Jones and maybe Carew if he plays 4-4-2. But I'm guessing it will be 4-5-1 with Jones upfront on his own.

But I don't think they'll dominate us that much height and aerial wise.

I just put Lucas behind to fit it in. How else would we line up with a 3-5-2? Maybe Aurelio instead of Johnson and Johnson instead of Kelly, but besides that, if it's 3-5-2, I can't see many more options.

miracles may happen, Kenny may make Poulsen a decent enough option for us for rest of the season. He looks a confidence man and maybe Kenny is working his magic on him. He must have been good a some point to play for the teams he has.

If he can just do a "darren fletcher" for us

Any team that involves Skrtel and The Greek playing alongside each other is an accident waiting to happen. Seriously. At the very least I would hope to see them either side of Agger, otherwise they'll spend 90 minutes feeding off each other's uncertainty.

I want to be optmistic, and I'm excited to see our new star player in action, but I don't find the prospect of that back line very encouraging.

If Lucas (our worst player IMO) plays and Glen Whelan (Stoke's worst midfielder IMO) doesn't then unfortunately I will be placing a bet on Stoke.

I have not kept a record of my bets against us winning matches when Lucas starts but needless to say I'm comfortably in profit.
