There was a time i would bet on us beating Newcastle by two or three goals margin. Lucas was poor there. He should have tried to block that shot.

As out of his depth as Roy is, it's poor individual performances that have let us down today. Skrtel has been a fucking liability from start to finish, and once again we squandered opportunities when we were on top. The third goal is just insult to injury. We lost the game before that.

He actually looked like he was trying to protect himself rather than block the shot .... first thought was if that had been Carra he would have thrown his body on the line to stop it.

Watching that defense today, I came to the conclusion that it's worse than any of the fucking Kvarme, Babb, Harkness type shit we had to endure in the mid 90s. Fucking awful. You could see there wasn't a single one of them with the balls or wits to take charge.
