Well I have to say that was a great performance from AC. He was lumped up on his own but made several track backs and interceptions. Was a pain in the manc arse for any set piece we had. Had a hand in the first and an assist for the second. Best performance in a red shirt since the City game last season. To be honest I thought he looked ok against Bolton. I know that is kind of clutching at straws with him but FFS he was trying and it was plain for all to see.
The overall team performance though was poor (for periods) and we were quite lucky with the win in the end. A draw would have been fair but fuck it - who cares we are through.
One thing I notice about utd is they play their attacking part of football in phases. Something which we don't do (or at least do with some lack of discipline) It all seems frantic and haphazard. For them its get the ball in position, then create a chance by putting the ball in an area of the box that is at the very least 'dangerous' or create some degree of panic. I mean if they do that it's job done for them. Sticking the ball in the net after they do that is an almost certainty if they do that a few times. I mean watch how many times does their player gets to the byline and cuts back for either a goal or some near miss. Exactly what happened with their first goal.
Be interesting who we get in the next round - Probably Chelsea :🙂

Apparently this didn't happen. Police are unaware of any incident.
Peoplw disappointed with todays level of performance seem to have already forgotten the tough game we had just two and a half days ago
