Lallana is brilliant, going to be great for us. Moreno and Manquillo are both going to be excellent signings as well. Markovic still looks like he's in shock at the pace of the game, he's going to need a while. Think it was a bit silly of BR to start him in a game like this. Again I wonder what Jordon Ibe might be able to offer in his position - even as a starter. Would at least be up to the physical demands. Still annoyed he was loaned so hastily.
Balotelli isn't really a normal striker, is he? Talented, but too much of a maverick. We'd have been better off with Remy.

We're playing 4-2-3-1 with Gerrard and Hendo in the middle (and pretty much bossing it so far), Sterling on the left, Markovic on the right and Lallana in the middle. Lallana has been everywhere, although I thought he tired a bit by the end of the half. Sterling having a quiet-ish game, Markovic looks off the pace, but I see why Rodgers preferred him to Suso or Coutinho – in a game as stretched as this one speed is really important. I don't think he is going to get subbed at half-time.
Balotelli is working harder than I've ever seen him in pressing, I think he is forcing things too much with his shots though – sometimes it's better to pass to a teammate.
Everton look generally subdued, but Lukaku has been dangerous – fortunately Lovren and Skrtel were very alert when they needed to be. Skrtel had some kind of foot injury near the end, but hopefully it's not too serious.
Atkinson has a shocking performance as referee – gets virtually every decision wrong, big or small. Lukaku might have earned a penalty early in the game, but we had a really stonewall penalty that wasn't given.
