What I always respected about Beckham was his work ethic and how he trained and practised, to make him a top level player without any of the natural Gifts of say, Gerrard or Scholes

Same with Lampard.

Although I don't hate Lampard and I do hate Beckham, partly because, as you say, he's as thick as box of hair
