That's the only defence there is for Cole. I also acknowledge that he did well there. But from what I've seen that league is pretty poor.
Cole might score a couple this season, still doesn't justify his wages. We're paying him world class player money and he's not close to being world class.

He looked awful under Hodgson, mainly because roy isn't exactly reknowned for his free flowign sexy football. Cole would have to play quite reserved and not to his full strengths.
