Ferdinand said that he did not recall what he said in those moments. It's obviously because if he came out with that he must have feared the FA will use his admission to hand him an 8-game ban for abusive and insulting words.

In his case they would be viewed as sexually discriminatory rather than racially. But the punishment is equivalent.

His article is pathetic. They had a chance to re-define their draconian concept of racism but failed to do so because it would have meant they could not stick the knife into one of our players. So now he's fucking crying about it like a dumb bitch.

Get a clue. In this country racism = insulting words that refer to a colour. John Terry denied it was an insult as any racist with a functioning brain cell will do from now on. I understand what you're saying but this happened in the work place. Doesn't seem like it to us but for Ferdinand he was at his job, he shouldn't have to put up with that from fellow 'professionals'.

i've tried to stay out of this thread because i have some views on freedom of expression which are not mainstream. however, your post was an important one. a work place is not the same as a public space, and as part of the condition of employment you can legitimately expect not to be insulted. whereas in a public space i dont think such a restriction should be imposed.

I've learned through bitter experience. I merely meant that having read and listened to him in the past I know I don't want to read or listen to anything he says or writes in the present, or future. Surely my belief that nothing he says has any credibilty (I mean with me, no one else) means I don't need to read it???
