I don't think there's even a slim chance we'll have Ruud, VDV, or Maxi. Maxi is the most likely of the three and I still don't think it likely or particularly beneficial to the club.

Sorry if you took offence but I dont think I said anything that was particularly rude or incorrect.

I think the most important thing is to get a solid left back in, someone in the Steve Finnan mould. If we had more confidence in our defence I'm sure we'd play an awful lot better. Obviously after that an experienced striker and a right winger would be nice.

I'm astonished that anyone thinks this. Certainly I wouldn't disagree that it's a weak area, but to think it's our main problem is baffling.

Clearly we still lack the final ball. How are we going to sort it out?

I think we need some more quality players in the final third, i.e. another decent attacking midfielder / winger or two, but I'm not 100% convinced that's even the whole issue. I think we need a new coach to sort the lads out with some training sessions based around breaking down defences that have 6 or 7 players in and around the box.

We need to get rid of players that can't pass the ball well in the final third, get good players in that can and practice, practice, practice the kind of passing and movement that creates real opportunities to score.

Otherwise we'll be back here again and again and again.
