Here's a very quick blueprint for the next 6 months.
Sell-
Babel - 8m
Voronin - 2m

ask the board for a mere 5m
=19.5m

[/quote]Because a) I hate playing with one fucking striker b) Torres is perma injured. Cole would still play a tonne of games, the starting line up is preferred but torres and ruud are hardly the fittest cunts in the world.
 
I guess you have a point ... I think Ruud/Ngog can do a good job if he has proper attacking players behind him ...

I'm not that big into Cole though I think he's 'earned' the right to move to a better club than West Ham

[/quote]Ruud is as oft injured as Torres though. If you have 2 crock strikers you need 1 fit one.
The bad thing about signing Cole would be that my mate Dave would never shut up about it, being as I've always claimed he's wank and when he left Chelsea Dave was distraught and said it was a huge mistake to let him go.
I'd have to pretend to dislike him.

I think Upson and Cole would cost closer to the 35M mark, that is if West Ham would be prepared to sell both - they'd be mad to in their situation. There is no way we'd get 'em for under 20M.

I'd be delighted with that. 3 of those signings actually seem possible too.
 
I could see us taking Upson from them, but I think Cole's asking price would be too high.
I know there is no chance of it happenig but I'd much rather have Parker in our squad ahead of Lucas.

I see us selling a fair few, Voronin, Dossena, Plessis, Darby, Babel.

I expect him to keep Degen.
 
Regardless of who we sign, we're still going to be playing 4231 with Gerrard in the hole until Benitez goes.

This is probably his preferred line-up with our current squad:

---Benyoun--Gerrard---Kuyt
------Aquilani Mascherano
Insua Agger Carragher Johnson
----------------Reina

So, looking at this, I think best thing we can do is get backup for Torres and one or two attacking midfielders in to improve our play in the final third and just generally give us more options. Left back is another consideration, but I think it's unlikely we'll do anything with that in January as it's really not the most pressing area of the pitch to improve.

On this basis, Horseface (who I don't really want - I don't like him and he's old) and Maxi Rodriguez would be appropriate as we can't keep Torres fit and our play in the final third is a disgrace.

That being said, it always has been under Rafa. I still don't believe they actually work on attacking play in training.
 
I see rumours of VDV, Maxi & Horseface. all on loan for thew rest of the season.

All 3 would be good business (clearly won';t happen - but 2 might).

World Cup Year.. everyone's desperate for regular first team action to get a ticket to SA.

All we have to do is get rid of MC Babel and The Crow.

I reckon it's a great deal.. fuck spending any money. If we're smart we can do this on the cheap.
 
Is there a limit on how many loan players you can bring in? I hope there won't be a situation where we try to bring in more than what we are allowed to, that would be a huge fuckup.
