So based on thisn result we can assume that TAA is not the DM we had hoped for.

Yeah Trent doesn't take have the instincts as a defender let alone defensive mid. I get we won a lot of trophies with Trent at right back. But I feel that Trent at right back it looks somewhat contrived. Its only because the rest of the defence namely VVD and the previous midfield were so good that they masked/ covered for Trent's defensive lapses.

I don't know why Klopp is so stubborn. All this talk about Bellingham when in Trent we already have a ready made box to box mid player. Just need to pair him with a world class sitting destroyer and we would be set.

Oh well expect to see Trent in every position except the one where he should be lol with Klopp. Last season was a little bit better but he was a glorified midfielder because he still had to cover the right back when we were under attack.

I didn’t watch it so can’t comment on his performance. What I have seen of him is not worthy of what we’re paying.

It’s an interesting comment. Can anyone remember who looked amazing preseason and was amazing? I don’t pay much attention to these games anymore as they’re slow and boring. We’ve had loads come in and make their mark on their first proper start.

Gakpo has okayed midfield in 2 games and Trent has played DM in 2 games.

It’s about as informative and relevant as Nunez playing through the middle in 2 games.

Conor Bradley has looked good so far. He's always looked decent for NI so I am hopeful he can deputise for Trent given his pre-season form.

Nunez was good yesterday. I could be wrong but it must have been the 2nd or 3rd time he has missed a point blank header for us under no pressure? I know the keeper saved it and all but I don't remember many players, even those not playing for us, missing similar headers.

He's missed chances point blank generally. It was a top notch save tbh and one Nunez probably thought he could score by just getting any connection on it.
