Glen Johnson

On this sort of for Glen is a great player, I thought he had a great Euro 2012 too, despite all the clever bastards saying he should MOT have gone
I still stand by what I have always said, he is better at getting forward than defending, when he is playing well he is a capable right back, if he is not playing well going forward, he can leave the door open for somone who is.a better defender.
Ryan uses Kelly as an example to beat people who think that way around the head, but just as Glenjo is on form and playing well, Kelly is not at the level he was at times last year. Just as Glen was far from the form he is at present during periods last year.

regards

Keniget and I are the only ones who've consistently rated Glenjo. Even during that ridiculous period last year when nearly all of you were stating as fact that Kelly was a far better right back.

Bollocks. I've been a strong supporter against the haters from Day 1.

LOL

That's hugely wide of the mark.

So everyone is coming out the woodwork...
Coming out of the woodwork?

I was arguing with so many posters on here last season about Johnson it was unbelievable.

I said back then that Glenjo had somehow taken on the role that Lucas was awarded; whenever there was an issue with the teams performance people would turn on him and explain why he was a rubbish defender, couldn't find a position blah blah blah.

Of course they are going to blame him - he is the black guy in the team, who else was going to get the blame ? - Its been the case for a while now at LFC since Barnes left. If the team loses blame it on the black guy.

Now there's a post that suits your username. Utterly moronic

To Sunny & the count

We have had a few black players, but when things do go wrong - they are always critisized more than any other player, and if Downing was black - you lot would want him out more than you want Downing out right now. Henderson would have the BNP, EDL, and every other Nazi type organisation chasing him out of England if he was black ( I think I would join with them to do that anyway).

I really am questioning my sanity now for agreeing with you in the other thread...

Ok - if it was not Skrtel that made that error on Sunday and it was Glen Johnson - what do you think would be posted on here ? I'll tell you what:

"He's not good enough.... can't trust him he has lapses of concentration loss...he maybe usefull on the wing but we can't trust him in the back four...."

It would go on for a week, and the thread would have at least 57 posts. But because Skrtel made that error everyone will forget and put it down to an error.

It's nothing to do with him being black. You're on a wind up here, surely?

I wish I was, but sadly no. Black players are never given the same amount of time to overcome a learning curve as white players at LFC. They are moved on quickly, and if they did any good during their time it is completely forgotten the moment they fail. I have seen it time and time again from various forums.

Neither TROLL nor IDIOT - just a person who sees it for how it REALLY is. Your just fucking blind to it or deliberately shutting it out of your mind. Wait till GlenJo makes his next mistake then read the forum threads that are created to question his ability and all, and remember how it is now regarding Skrtel's error.

You're, I'm pretty sure someone posted a link about that yesterday.

That happens with a lot of players incase you haven't noticed, watch what happens if Charlie Adam has a bad game.

Adam was pronounced shit the day he joined us. He was already called the "Fat Bastard". He is still a galaxy's distance better than Henderson.

Imaginary racism I believe might be the best description

Forget what I said - its a discussion for another time. It's not imaginary - its going to happen whenever Sterling, or GlenJo make their next mistake - they will have a thread dedicated to it.

Point is - given that defensively we have made huge blunders in the last two games (in the PL) that we hardly made last season, there is not much discussion about it is there ? nor too much mention of the players involved for those errors.

How is it a "fact"?

How is it a "fact"?

Go through the black players we have signed over the years, and see how long they lasted before being moved on. Then compare like players who are not black and did exactly the same and see how long they have been at LFC. But unfortunately the real evidence would be on these chat forums - if you read the opinions of people after a black player does an error there is a slight over-reaction compared to a non-black error.

The Skrtel example is the most recent one and the fuck up members of our defence so far in the last two PL games - have they even had a thread dedicated to them ? No.

Well you answered your own question there, we made mistakes we didn't make last year. Why? Incase you haven't noticed we're trying to play differently, it's perhaps widely acknowledged Skrtels mistakes were somewhat attributed to trying to keep possession, so immediately the blame is spread between the player and the new style of play. An adjustment period is accepted among fans.

Add to that it's only the second league game, he scored a cracking header in the same match as one of these mistakes, he had a great previous season and he just signed a new contract. Maybe that's why there's no thread on him and he's gotten away with criticism, do you seriously think it's because he's white? There have been threads on him in the past when he was playing badly.

What constitutes "exactly the same"? Do you have an example?

Ok - think back to an away game against Arsenal, or an England game for that matter in which SG made the mistake of passing the ball long and in both cases ended at the feet of Thiery Henry who went onto sore a goal. Big blunder - but never discussed - just an error, even in the England game it was hardly mentioned after the game and I think England lost. Back then SG was not performing for England in the way that he was for LFC, but I tell you if that was a black player - he would never be picked for England again.
