OK, what I heard yesterday but was too drunk to type was that he's ok to train but he's got this disease in his bone in his ankle and there's nothing can be done. If he gets hit in a hard tackle he'll be out for a few months again and he's gonna need surgery to get a replacement plastic ankle for his long term health - but that he won't be able to play on it.
I am a tit, but I meant it's a huge shame if true. I'd been out since 3pm. I don't want to name the source but it was the son of a high profile ex player, and he was telling me in a bar owned by the dad of a current one. That doesn't mean it's true, but I was convinced at the time.
In other news, I've been invited to the trophy room for the match today so I need to go and iron some non-jeans related shit.
