Full Backs?

I think it needs more discussion as the season draws to a close.
Trent is leaving and Conor is good but with lapses in judgement and injury concerns, do we need a top RB to replace Trent or just get a squad option or use Quansah and Gomez as back-up.
I think Robbo is a spent force, Tsimi blows hot and cold. I think we need better. Owen Beck started well but I don't think is good enough to make bench.
Do we get a LB and a CB that can play LB. On the RB, use Quansah and Gomez as cover?

Kerkez and Frimpong are by preferred options, albeit I haven't seen a great deal of Frimpong. I like that we have the option of playing both Bradley and Frimpong and resting Salah more over the years. That level of raw pace and energy on the flanks takes this team to a new level. I'm open-minded at RB generally. Slot has to decide whether he wants two fullbacks capable of flying forward, or he wants one of them to be a utility style defender. Personally I'm open minded, but I'd prefer the pace and energy on both sides and just tweaking their roles to suit the opposition.

Kerkez seems absolutely tailor made for us and I really hope we go for him.

If Gomez leaves, then a versatile full back / centre back is a must as back up to a still-growing (so perhaps prone to injury for the next season or so) but quite brilliant young RB in Bradley.

Bradley and Kerkez would give us a mixture of defensive strength, pace, aggression and attacking thrust that we’ve sorely lacked from full back this season.

Eh? Right now or in the future? I'm not in charge of signings. I was responding to the fact that there seems to be some doubt on this forum that Bradley is good enough to be a starter right now.
Considering Bradley looks to be injury prone, you would want cover. Now that may be we use JoGo or a new recruit. This is a forum, its your opinion people want to hear

Left back is the priority. Bradley deserves to be 1st choice RB and for me, Joe Gomez is still an outstanding utility member of the squad. Obviously injuries are a factor but that applies to his resale value too. Yes it's a risk but if Joe can stay fit for half a season by filling in when Bradley or our other centre backs need a break, we have a top class back up who is not on mega wages and is OK with the role. Gomez is under rated IMO, he would be a cert for England if that stupid fucker Hodgson hadn't set back his career

Just as long as they don’t cost more than the footballing equivalent of a pound shop special - or Miron will cry.

What is the footballing equivalent of Temu? Can we shop there?

I’ll let someone else make a joke about Frimpongs’s size.
