Haven't seen any of it, but surely you'd have to blame Rafa for this one? A Lucas-Aurelio CM was always asking for trouble.

You have to give a lot of credit to Fiorentina. They are fast all over the pitch closing down, getting behind the ball, restricting out options, and breaking very fast in numbers, and so far we have just not looked up for the challenge.
 
The midfield pairing of Aurelio and Lucas is fucking woeful. Not one pass have hit it's target. Our defence gets no help from said midfield and is constant under pressure.

First goal was offside, and after that we've been in the shits.

Gerrard needs to move back and get on Riera.
 
And people here want Aurelio to start against Chelsea instead of Insua, fucking idiots.

Aurelio is having an absolute mare. Lucas should also take some blame. But Aurelio's positioning, tackling, tracking back, awareness and especially passing has been abysmal today. He has to be subbed.
I say bring on Riera and move Gerrard back into midfield.

why change it rafa, aurelio is no central midfielder, yossi is no left winger

To be fair, Fiorentina ARE a decent side, but fancying yourself as some sort of managerial god, and chucking a left back in a defensive midfield alongside the "not as terrible as normal so lets try and give him a break" Lucas smacks of HUGE arrogance.

Are you surprised the movement upfront is limited, when Johnson is subdued, Insua is just poor and the midfield partnership havent got a clue.
 
I wouldn't have played a non match fit Aurelio in his chosen position in a game like this never mind in central midfield.

gotta laugh, rafa is a bafoon setting us up like that. fabia and that pile of shit lucas in centre mid. our attacking 4 players may as well not be on the pitch.

all season we've been carrying lucshit but every time we play a decent side the same failings are there for everyone to see.
