Champions League Draw

Lol it looks like we just got the toughest draw possible of every pot.

Hughes better get fucking cracking. We are not playing kids in any of those matches

You know, been bitching about this all morning, but I was wrong.

Real Madrid
RB Leipzig
Bayer Leverkusen
AC Milan
Lille
PSV
Bologna
Girona

That is a proper, proper Champions League. Anfield nights, dreams come true. We're not here to play Crystal Palace, Chelsea or Manchester United. These are the teams that we were meant to play while Zubimendi goes hiking.

We got a perceived easy draw last season and went on to screw it up so whatever. At least it keeps us on our toes.

Definitely. It's pretty clear we just rank teams on whatever reputation they have rather than the current players and managers. I can barely keep up with PL first teams these days, let alone knowing Atalanta has a squad that can breeze past us without a care in the world.

There are 3 domestic champions on that list, so by no means easy. Real Madrid has had a slow start to the year and Mbappe is yet to score in three, meaning it's not a bad time to play Madrid as early as possible and put some demons to bed.

Never mind all that Champions League shite!!!

Larne FC made the group stage of the Europa Conference League (first NI team to get to the group stages of a Euro comp) - hope the get Chelsea!!!!

I remember when Ballymena beat Larne in the Irish Cup Final (mainly because the bloke that scored the goal in a 1-0 win for the sheep shaggers was not only from Larne, but the area I grew up in… and was a Man Utd fan)… and drew Real Madrid in the first round!!!

We can say with absolute assurance that away teams won't enjoy the trip to Larne. Even the home team and fans don't enjoy it.

I’d imagine it’s not as bad as having to visit St Benitez Park… although P4AH FCarent likely to be qualifying for anything other than self pity any time soon.

Congrats Larne!

They're switching the game to Casement Park (confirmed Euro 2028 site)

It's missing B. Munich who have the most difficult.
Open up the tweet Froggy, you have to open up the tweet 🙂

PSG and Barca are tough, Villa will be an oddball too as it is their first time back in fuck knows how long, but the other 5 are about as kind as it could've been.

Not good. I'd have preferred us to be over the line before the last game or two. We could be relying on wins in those last two to make the Top 8.

Also no more qualifications done and dusted by mid Dec and focus on PL for 3 months.
When Afcon is back, UEFA and FIFA will have further clashes surely in 2yrs time.

& if we can't get wins against 2 of the worst in the group then we won't have deserved to be there.

Favourable fixtures being played first, middle or last isn't a thing, just beat the shit that's in front of you when you play them and that's it.

I think it was Sky predicted it'll need 14-16 points to make Top 8. That's maybe 5 wins minimum. So do your math's again.

So what does 4 wins, 3 draws and a loss add up to?

You want me to do my maths based upon Sky's predictions? Jesus wept. They were predicting we we were gonna win the league in February, then changed it to Arsenal a month later. Predictions are just that.....predictions.

It adds up to likely having to play to the last game as I said you dolt.

WTF has your second paragraph got to do with required points to qualify? That's brain dead. Nothing at all.

Looking at the fixture dates.

It's been very favourable for Man City once again.

Before we play them at home, they have an easy game vs Feyenoord at home (4 days before). Whilst we have a home tie vs Madrid (3 days before; 1 day less).

Similarly Arsenal play City away 3 days after they're away to Atalanta. Where City play Arsenal 4 days after they have a home tie vs Inter.

Who is Hill?

Googled and there is a Tom Hill playing for Liverpool?

Who is he?

An academy player that's been wasted with the u21s for too long.

No idea why he's been selected tbh as it's not like an extra body was needed.
