I think we've looked less threatening since Aurelio moved to left back. He was beginning to ping the ball around nicely for a period there. Some of those diagonal balls were Alonsoesque.

Once again: we weren't shit in the second half. And I doubt anyone finds it fun to deal with rage. We find it sad someone takes so much pleasure from the team doing poorly.

This is one of those random rubbish group stage European away nights that we have now and again, see Besiktas, Olympiakos, Monaco etc, not really that fussed, more concerned that we still look very shaky in defence going into Sunday's game.
 
the game was tailor made for the defenders to come forwards with the ball. the opposition had bodies behind the ball, were compact and were marking us tightly. the ONE time a defender came forwards we nearly scored. I know a defenders job is too defend but for fucks sake there was a SEA to run into yet the ball was going sides twenty times.

Dunno, I haven't seen them play this season, but their results are good.

And their home record in Europe is excellent.

It's bad news for us that Lyon beat Fiorentina in that first match - they could easily take three points off each other, which could end up meaning a three-way tie for first. Dangerous...

another thing, reira should have started that game as yossi gave the fullback no protection whatsoever. maybe rafa is saving riera for the weekend because make no mistake chelsea we attempt to get at our fullbacks.
