It seems to be consistent with England. I think it's under instruction. Tbf he's much better at playing passes & through balls than the other forwards, but then he's much better at scoring when he's further up too!
That's my point... He should be playing in a position where he excels, and players feeding him...

Square pegs round holes.. The whole side is full of them..

They've been playing together since the under 12s apparently, means they're a helluva unit compared to the England side.
That means so much for a team.

It can also be their downfall in this game as they looked so tired in the last 30 min v Austria and will be even more knackered today. They don't sub much and always start the same XI.

Paul Merson predicted we'd win 3-0 "cos their national population is smaller than London". As such that confirmed my suspicion that this would be a tough game.

While that is factually correct, it's not much of a comparison, given there's what, nearly 9 million in London?

I'm not disagreeing, I've screamed it capitals in a few England match threads already, but he keeps supplying scorers so I can see why Roy is doing it, even if I really don't agree with it.

I hope you're not arguing with Paul Merson logic.

That way lies madness.

"If we don't win this, then it would surely be the biggest shock in the history of the European Championships. More people live in London than they do in Iceland. Nearly more people live in Newcastle. You have to put it in perspective."

I wonder if Hodgson will make a host of changes again? Vardy surely, but maybe his amazing faith in Wilshere will also see him come on.

Are you saying you can't be racist to the Spanish?
It would be unlikely considering my daughter is married to a Spaniard and we spend a lot of time in Valencia. Almost bought a home there, still might.
But way to go Gerry - missed the point entirely anyway.

I'd stick Milner on for Rooney at half time. That should help make the ball stick in the final third as well as giving width, & let sturridge get upfront.

As per, we look flat and Woy won't sub the guilty parties. Danny Rose looks like he's shit himself everytime someone passes the ball to him, Rooney is the typical overrated talisman and Sterling looks like he hasn't played all season, because he mostly hasn't. Sturridge looks lost out wide but him and Kane look like they could link up well if Woy pushed them both up top.

Put a creative linchpin in between those two and we'll score goals.

A few thoughts:
  • Much like Liverpool this team lacks winners and players who want to be counted when the pressure is on. All those Spurs players collapsed last year - see them struggling now? Sterling? etc ... Rooney seems to have forgotten how much he's been a part of winning teams in his play either.
  • England should switch to 4-5-1 and get Vardy on ... He's their best bet to score goals amazingly
  • Joe Hart is overrated, but he's not THAT bad ... but two shite goals in 3 games now ... Maybe that's what Butland needs to make this his position when he returns from injury next year.

I think you missed the original point that Bradley was joking.

Has anyone noticed how Roy won't face rub?

He's obviously been told not to do it by their pr team, so he reaches up then half scratches the side of his face & touches his chin instead. They keep showing shots of him & he's doing it constantly.

Milner is the best option..

Sadly.. he won't... He will bring on Wilshire instead

He was rubbing his head before and I thought I exactly the same thing. He's the dishwater manager of professional football. Dull as fucking shit.
