Well, for me at least, it's rare you spend an entire evening drinking in one place at one table, plus most of us were 35 plus so were all well aware how bad the next day could be.Very grown up, I've heard the idea loads of times but never seen anyone do it.
Hmmmmm controlled drinking plan..... *backs off slowly from thread*Not so much actually, I'd say it was about the same as usual (I have a small child's bladder, I hope they don't miss it much) It was probably more like half to two thirds of a pint for each pint, we just had the barmaid bring jugs of iced water to the table & we all had half pint glasses.
I was quite proud of myself cos it was my idea to ask them for them & as half the group were driving back home from the lakes the next day it was decided it was indeed a good idea.
Sure what else could you do on a Sunday night, with work the next day?Not sure I can handle another 30 minutes of this

It was a perfect storm of sensibility. I doubt it'll happen again anytime soon.
I think it's more consciously drinking water as opposed to controlled drinking!Hmmmmm controlled drinking plan..... *backs off slowly from thread*
I actually done all my chores earlier and now I can't think of any to do. Well, there's loads I could do but I would risk waking the child.I have a radiator to remove and curtain poles to put up, I'd say either is more entertaining than this
Quite. 12 pints is not controlled. Neither is asking the driver if this is the only taxi in Keswick about fifteen times & everyone cackling each time on a five minute journey. Fuck she had the patience of a saint that lady.I think it's more consciously drinking water as opposed to controlled drinking!

Even this match is better than that outcome.
I know. It was glorious that miss!Off the post! That couldn't have been much closer!
12 pints. Not sure I could do it these days. The last time I was properly drunk I only had about 8 pints and I suffered the next day.Quite. 12 pints is not controlled. Opening day of the euros. Got there for about 3pm after walking from 8am that morning (10 miles) & then a 3 mile walk to the pub. Left at about 12, plus we ate a meal too. The 4 'kids' (in their mid twenties) were doing shots & drinking rum too. Those were the days.12 pints. Not sure I could do it these days. Deschamps got it wrong starting Giroud ahead of him.Gignac looks tasty every time I have seen him. What's his story? How did he end up in La Liga Mexico?
Yep, if I was back home within twenty four hours of leaving I classed as a quiet night once. Now if I'm back after midnight I think it's a mad one. There was a time in my life where 13 pints SEEMED quite controlled. Holy fuck life looks different 10 years on.
Bucket list entry. Install text-to-speech app 😗I've never fucked a French girl actually.
I imagine it's a bit off putting when she shouts "Oui, Oui, Oui, Oui, OOOUUUUIIIIII!" though.
Be like listening to a kid on a swing.
If I was sure that I didn't have to do ANYTHING the next day, I would certainly enjoy attempting the 12 pints. Well, at the time, of course. Not the next day.Opening day of the euros.
