I'd be more inclined to turn attention to the parts of the team where we don't already have a superb player in that position.

Can has played at right back loads for Germany, that plus the fact we have 167 central midfielders means we should usually have an adequate back up.

He's got a real issue with this competition, like a serious mental block that makes a voice scream 'you're gonna fuck it up!' inside his head whenever he gets near the box.

His confidence and shot are just completely gone. Normally he looks mediocre but finishes ruthlessly. Now he just looks in over his head.
