What I also love about our late goal was that it was Turkey who would have qualified if we hadn't scored. I've always wanted revenge on Turkey for that fiasco in 2000 when we had the 2 game qualifier for the Euro's and the Turks refused to let the game be shown on Irish TV. They signed a reciprocal deal for the games to be shown but after the 1-1 draw in Ireland the Turkish TV company tried to blackmail RTE for more money. Fair play to RTE for not paying it BUT I had to watch us go out on away goals with a 0-0 draw, in a pub with 500 Irish fans............watching the game on ceefax! I've never forgiven them.
