He all kindsa lost his funny after about.......Hey Dantes when was Parenthood/Planes tranes/Dirty rotten scoundrels? That was when he was last funny. Although that was on about 70% of funny in comparison with All of me/MWTB/The Jerk.
i dont know. im fascinated that after you wrote planes, you're brain did that thing where it tricked you into thinking trains was spelt in the same way
So it did. It would have been better the other way round. At least Plains is a word.
well actually....Time-Resolved Area-Normalized Emission Spectroscopy (TRANES)
i've been looking for something for the last week to help me. without even looking i think the universe is doing that thing where by amazing coincidence TRANES is going to be what i was looking for

I have deduced the truth.

Rollergirl doesnt remind Gene of Steve Martin; she reminds him of Victoria Tennant.

I really liked Bowfinger, I thought it was hilarious in places.

Dirty Rotten Scoundrels was also brilliant.
It was funny, but when I think about it, it was mainly funny because of Eddie Murphy, not Steve Martin.

Do you think they (comedic actors) start losing their edge/mind after a certain point or just bow to the money/generation thing? Or cross over to different genres? The only actor I think of now (from that ilk) that used to be piss funny that is still around is Bill Murray, and he's gone kind of serious.
I agree. Bill Murray has changed totally but i do like his Lost inTranslation/Life aquatic a ringa ding ding thing.

I respect it. He is an astounding actor. But completely serious doesn't suit him. I hated Lost in Translation. It was fucking dirge. I only watched it cos i was waiting for bill to do something. something. He has expert comedic timing, more than any other comedic actor i know. Why has he abandoned that? Groundhog Day was brilliant for a reason!

Oncy: who are you talking about?
Brendan. Im sure you phase out when he's talking about 'The club' but fuck me he could make a plague seem *ok*
If he made a plague seem Ok surely he'd be like the chirpiest Mr Chipper.

Imagine the scene. It's 1349 and 50% of the village, men women and children have died in choking gargling screams after developing huge puss oozing boils on their bodies. They have mainly lain uncovered for days, before anyone summoned up the courage to drag their maggot-ridden corpses into hastily dug shallow pits which dot the landscape. Fields of unharvested crops rot in the fields. Large scenic pan picks up orphaned children roaming the fields, scrabbling in the dirt for food. Now focus in on a large chinned rustic leaning on a pitchfork who intones cheerily, "this be OK".

He's done some serious stuff though; Somerset Maugham's 'Razor's Edge' believe it or not.

Saw that ages ago.

'this be OK... compared to what be going on at Liverpool Football Club! Aaaaarrrrrrggggghhhh...'
That's a common misconception that lar, I post a lot in the threads I post in, I don't actually post in a lot of threads.

I have a 1 day T shirt. I got it whilst pissed one Friday night with Sheiky and Spion. I was still right in my assertions though. Perhaps I could have been slightly less sweary. And less sweary against the Mod.

I've always been on decent behaviour but Jon did PM me when I called DB a moany cunt.

Ha. It was obviously in jest, I don't know why he bothered.

Totally. I got in shit recently, mainly because tone cannot be heard online, and I really hate smileys.

Still never been banned though.
