Manchester City have ended their interest in signing Riyad Mahrez because they were unwilling to match Leicester City's £95 million valuation, sources have told ESPN FC.

Tbf to Leicester, City would only do a player plus cash deal.
You'd assume the incoming player would be on a higher salary than they usually pay, & their assumed value higher than Leicester would usually want to pay for a player.
Of course they're taking the piss, but probably not as much as it seems without taking those factors into account.

They won't overpay and sign a player for 90M but will gladly sign 2 players on 120M. They have the dough but are just not willing to be ripped off, that's just how the super rich roll.
There is nothing stopping us doing that today. We can sign him and he’d join July 1st as will Keita.

I’ve no doubt that we’ll spend a lot of money this summer, but lets hope Klopp’s gamble isnt so big that it sees us drop out of the top 4.
An injury to Firmino or Salah would be horrendous for us.
