Midfielder Hugo Vieira has signed for Benfica from Portuguese Liga rivals Gil Vicente, the Lisbon club has revealed.
"Hugo Vieira has signed a contract until 20 June 2016," Benfica said in a statement.
The 23-year-old said that he wanted to make his mark on the first team to quickly get a call-up to the national side.
The club have already signed Dutch forward Ola John from FC Twente.
Napoli have confirmed that Goran Pandev has been signed outright from Serie A rivals Inter following his successful loan spell.
The Macedonian international moved south last summer on a temporary basis and did enough to convince the Azzurri of his ability.
Pandev, 28, was not assured of a starting shirt but still ended up with six goals in 30 League appearances for Walter Mazzarri’s team.
The former Lazio player has signed a contract until June 2015, but the deal has an option for a further 12 months.
Pandev has cost Napoli €7.5m.
Goran Pandev was so desperate to join Napoli from Inter that he accepted a cut in salary, the Azzurri have revealed.
The striker is now a Napoli player after the club decided to take up their option to sign him outright following his loan spell from San Siro.
“Goran is a good guy,” Napoli President Aurelio De Laurentiis told Radio Marte. “Apart from being machines of war, players are also men.
“Pandev is at the peak of his maturity and he will be able to give a lot to the team.
“The Neapolitans should have gratitude for the player because he’s been very generous, he has behaved in a gentlemanly manner.
“He agreed to earn less money with us than he was netting at Inter. In doing so, he respected the parameters that the club has set up in line with the financial fair play rules.”
Pandev, 28, scored seven goals in 42 appearances for the Azzurri this season.
Paul Lambert - Aston Villa
"I'm very proud and honoured to be here as manager of Aston Villa, a club with a fantastic history and tradition.
"With the help of the players and the fans, I will do my very best to drive the club on.
"One of my first objectives will be to get the crowd going and to restore the good feeling back to the players so that they, in turn, can excite and ignite the passion and energy of our supporters.
"For me, it is imperative that the players are able to perform with a freedom and hunger and desire to succeed.
"Villa are one of the big clubs in the history of English football and this is a great challenge, one I am genuinely enthused to embrace.
"Any club that has won a European Cup, seven English league titles and the FA Cup seven times is going to retain a certain status and this is not something to shy away from.
"I have my own levels of expectancy which I am determined to try and meet and these will hopefully marry with Aston Villa as a club and especially with the expectations of the fans."
'After successful negotiations, Niko Kranjcar has signed a four-year contract with Dynamo Kiev,' the statement read.
When asked why he joined the Champions League qualifiers, Kranjcar said on Dynamo's website: 'The perseverance of (Dynamo Kiev chairman) Ihor Surkis
'I know he wanted to sign me back in 2003 when I was at Dinamo Zagreb.
'Many years later Kiev again tried to sign me, and Surkis personally took control of the negotiations.
'I thought the price was too high that Spurs wanted for me last year and I thought then they would not come back for me, but Surkis again entered the fray.
'He has tried so hard to sign me that I simply had to pay him back.
'I want to make a good impression on him and the fans.
'This is one of the most respectable clubs in eastern Europe.'

OLYMPIACOS F.C. announces the initiation of the cooperation with Leonardo Jardim, who has been appointed as the new head coach, on a two-year deal.
"I am happy to have joined the greatest club in Greece. It is a great honor and I hope I will be able to repay the administration of Olympiacos for their confidence in me, by performing well and scoring many goals on the pitch. I could ask for nothing better than to wear the shirt of Olympiacos!"

The former Birmingham City boss put pen to paper on a three-year deal at Carrow Road on Thursday to take over from Paul Lambert who departed for Aston Villa earlier this month.
Hughton will be joined by three members of his backroom staff at Birmingham City - Colin Calderwood, Paul Trollope, and former Norwich City scout Ewan Chester.
The new Canaries Manager told Canaries Player: "I'm absolutely delighted. It's something that happened very quickly, and I'm grateful for the opportunity that Birmingham have given me to speak with David McNally.
"There was no doubt at all in me wanting to come. Sometimes when you hear of an interest there ends up not being anything in it, and I certainly wouldn't want to be disrespectful to Birmingham.
"I had no great desire to leave Birmingham, but what I did want was the opportunity to manage a club of the status of Norwich, and of course in the Premier League.
"So when that opportunity came I was excited at the prospect of speaking to David McNally and to see of course what the Club had to say."
Hughton admitted that he has been impressed by the Club and its phenomenal rise from League One to Premier League safety in just three seasons.
He added: "It's something that I've enjoyed seeing, and as a manager it's good to see other managers doing so well.
"Of course what Paul has done in three seasons and what the club has achieved has been staggering really.
"You've got to enjoy it, just look at the stability it has given the club. It's about stability and staying in this division. Once you've got a taste of it, it's the place to be. It's my responsibility to help the team and to help the Club to sustain that.
"This Club has always been known as a very friendly club, a family orientated club. But it's not just that, it's a club that's shown ambition and continues to show ambition and those were the factors that really excited me about coming here."
The former Tottenham Hotspur star also had some words about the Yellow Army, who he feels with be an important factor in Norwich City's future.
"The fans will be massive. I'm always conscious that you've got to give the supporters something to shout about, and over the last three seasons they've had plenty to cheer about.
"They are a special support, and a very local support, which always adds to it. What we have all seen is that they are a very fair crowd, and they appreciate what ever situation the club has been in.
"I think they are very keen to get behind the team, and they'll be invaluable as they have been over the past few seasons."
Norwich City Chief Executive David McNally was equally delighted with the appointment of Hughton, and was relieved to get his man.
He told Canaries Player: "We're thrilled that Chris is here. It's been a busy period and we're just absolutely delighted that after a week looking at who we needed to take this Football Club forward, we've got our number one man.
"He was the only person we spoke to, and Birmingham City were the only club we approached for permission.
"We're astounded that things happened so quickly and we're really pleased. He's already thinking about his squad.
"The great thing is he knows the league and he's gone home today armed with DVDs of all 38 of our Premier League games, most of which I'm sure he's seen already.
"It'll be up to Chris to talk to us about where he would like to develop."
Brazilian midfielder Willians has signed at Udinese after departing native club Flamengo.
The Serie A club announced the capture of the 26-year-old on their official website on Thursday but did not reveal any details over the transfer fee or length of his contract.
Willians arrives in Italy after three years with Flamengo, where he notched up 91 appearances, scoring two goals.
The defensive midfielder, who began his career with Santo Andre, helped Flamengo to the Brazilian title in 2009.
The deal fuels speculation Udinese midfielder Kwadwo Asamoah could be on the move this summer, having been heavily linked with a switch to Juventus, while Manchester United are also thought to be monitoring him.

Jose Peseiro is returning to Portugal's top flight after signing a two-year deal to coach Braga, the Premier League club said on Friday.
The 52-year-old, who led Sporting Lisbon to the UEFA Cup final in 2005, had been in charge of Saudi Arabia until last year.
"Braga is now one of the four top Portuguese clubs," Peseiro said.
"I enjoy good football and it is essential to preserve the club's current dynamics, with our first objective being to reach the Champions League group phase."
Braga were beaten by Porto in the 2011 Europa League final and finished third in the Premier League to earn a spot in the qualification stage of the Champions League.
As well as his success with Sporting Lisbon, Peseiro is a former assistant coach at Real Madrid and has had stints at Rapid Bucharest and Panathinaikos since leaving Portugal in 2006.
Braga's previous coach Leonardo Jardim left the club last month and has joined Greek champions Olympiakos.
Viktor Elm has joined AZ Alkmaar on a free transfer and is hoping to convince brother Rasmus to remain with the Dutch side.
The Sweden international has agreed to link up with the Eredivisie outfit after running down his contract with Heerenveen.
The 26-year-old believes now is the time to undertake a new challenge is his career and his hoping to convince his younger sibling to remain at the club despite Premier League interest.
"AZ gave me and my family the right feeling," Elm told AZ's official website. "I had several offers to play in other countries, but we are all happy in the Netherlands.
"We speak the language and know what life is about here. It looks like Sweden in many ways and having the right feeling played a major role for us.
"Will I try to persuade Rasmus to stay longer at AZ? I will try. It would be great if he did. We have played together in midfield before, Rasmus as a playmaking midfielder and myself as a box-to-box player.
"At Heerenveen I have also played as an attacker and as a central defender. I can do everything."
"Cha Du-Ri has already shown his potential in his previous years spent in the Bundesliga," said Fortuna board member Wolf Werner. "With him, we now have an experienced, versatile and international class player for our right flank."
"I'm delighted to return to be back in the Bundesliga," said Cha. "Fortuna are an excellent club with fantastic supporters. I'm looking forward to the new challenge and experiencing the atmosphere inside the ESPRIT arena."
Zdenek Zeman - AS Roma
Zdenek Zeman praised Francesco Totti as “the best player I ever worked with” and warns Roma that Luis Enrique-style possession football is “futile.”
The ex-Pescara Coach is raring to go, making his return to the Olimpico after a 13-year absence.
“I am happy to be back after so many years in an environment that allowed me to have fun,” he told Roma Channel.
“The fans often asked me to return over these 13 years and I’m happy to be here. I hope to give Roma what I could not in my first two years here. Our work aims to bring enjoyment to me, the players and the fans.
“In my football I try to eliminate pointless things, so for me a horizontal pass is futile, as it’s just loaning each other the ball. We must always try to do something that will have meaning.”
This feels like the opposite of what predecessor Luis Enrique wanted over the past season at Roma.
“I think it’s only normal that coming out of the Barcelona school, where they focus so much on possession, that means preparing for a long move that takes you to the conclusion.
“I am quicker, in the sense that with possession you also give your opponents time to get settled in defence. It’s much more difficult to break down a defence that is closed rather than catching them unprepared. I also see long-range shots as rather desperate. In my type of football, the striker must receive service.
“We also play the same way, whether home or away. With Pescara this season we scored 45 goals at home and 45 on our travels.”
Zeman had said in his presentation press conference that Daniele De Rossi was not a creative midfielder.
“There was a misunderstanding. In my view De Rossi is not an Andrea Pirlo-style ‘regista,’ as he is more of a central midfielder who can give balance to the side. Of course he can play in all three midfield roles, but that’s a different matter entirely. It depends on where the team needs him the most.
“Totti is the best player I ever worked with. He had talent and showed it off. He changed role, becoming a centre-forward and therefore more susceptible to getting fouled, so the two major injuries have taken their toll. I haven’t spoken to him yet, as he’s in America on his vacation.”
Zeman is known as a hard task-master and warned there will be big changes for the Giallorossi.
“I’ve been told I’m old-fashioned. The more you work, the better you get, so I’ll bring back the double training sessions.”
