Warrior lose financially on the deal no matter what.

Adidas used to sell 900,000 shirts per year. Warrior are giving us 25m just to make the things. That's nearly 30 quid a shirt. That must be more than what they sell them to retailers at.

I just think its stange that the deal Will not allow us to make any extra dough based on shirt sales. It doesn't sound right to me.

So do you reckon the profit for every sale goes straight to warrior?

Yes.

We can make extra dough on jerseys by buying them from warrior and selling them via the club shops/ website. There's not a whole lot of money to be made though - its about 2% of our revenue.

The best way to make money is to have a football team that people want to watch. Sponsorship, ticket sales and TV money would all improve.

Just read up on the deal, sorry you are dead right Ross we just take 25m a year not volume related, but we have the non branded stuff which we dud not have with Adidas. Ayre seemed think we would make double the deal at 300m total, but clearly Dempsey would help justify warriors deal I would think

regards

FSG were talking about Dempsey from last season, I wonder if they are the ones pushing for a yank in the team? I'm beginning to dislike them for various reasons

1 year left on his contract aswell.

Cardiff have a bit of money now though, so if we let him go they can pay a bit for him.

Brendan keeps talking positively of Bellamy, and seems to see him as one of the senior players. If he does leave it'll be of Bellamy's own accord.

On a side note see Wales are attempting to recruit Shawcross, Angel Rangel and Ben Turner (Cardiff City Centre-back).

...and no Evans or Jones. Well, Ched Evans should be the striker if he wasn't a tool.

Hahaha, NOBODY has a scooby what the fuck is going on, who the fuck is coming in and who is going out...............Personally I think everyone picked up the wrong vibe about Big Andy

Why are people against Dempsey so much? Obviously, he wouldn't be my number one choice but you's are going on as if he's absolutely clueless. He's scored an impressive number of goals (consistently) (joint 4th this season) and that's with Danny Murphy being the penalty taker aswell, whereas the top three scorers are hitting their respective clubs spot-kicks. He has also provided 6 assists this season, so altogether contributing 23 goals this season for a midtable outfit simply in the Premier League, then a further 6 goals in the cup competitions and 4 in 4 games for his country this year. I just don't think it warrants the kind of melodramatic objection that i've seen on here.

Agreed.

I'm not entirely against him, but I can see the cons:

He's nearly 30.
His value is at it's absolute highest right now and regardless of whether he's good or bad, we'll never ever recoup that so it's dead money.
Why are none of Man City, Man Utd, Chelsea, etc in for him?
Couldn't we spend 10M on a 20 year old?
Who's he ever done well for, Fulham? Big fish, small pond.

I'm surprised people keep going on about his age.

29 is fine. As for performing well at LFC? Again I think people forget we are about to see a totally different LFC to what we are used to.

How many people rated any of the Swansea players before last year? Or even now?

It's not about individual talent its about the overall team and results.

Rodgers can sign and sell whoever he likes as long as we play the football Swansea played and get results.

Which is why you spent yesterday talking about the individual players you want to see "shipped out" eh Dreamy.
