If you'd read the press release about the deal you'd have seen that a big part of the deal was that we could have our own shops around the world and sell our own merchandise, so it does affect us.

I understand that reluctance given Dempsey's age and the fee which Fulham will no doubt quote us for him to begin with, but I'd be in favour if we can get the price right. He's a decent player, he's versatile and he's a good athlete whose shelf life may well be longer than most.
I'm not sure that comparison is a valid one. Bellamy started the season like an express train but tailed off quite badly during the course of it. I like the guy and I'm happy enough to keep him, but I don't know how much use we can realistically expect to get out of him and I certainly don't think he'll be up to playing more often. Dempsey's a few years younger and in excellent shape.
TOTAL CLINTS
Both are strikers who can play across the front. Bellamy tailed off but that had much to do with his injuries and Kenny not starting him for us. Dempsey was pretty much a fixture in Fulham's starting XI. Dempsey is the more prolific of the 2 in the last few seasons.
If Bellamy is moved on to Cardiff, then Dempsey will probably happen. He is a steady player at the very least. Has squaddie written all over him but we should be aspiring to better, more prolific players. Top 4 is going to be a stiff challenge

Afaik no shirt deals for the big clubs have been done on that basis for donkeys.
