City and FFP

It's blatant, but then everything mega-rich fuckers get away with in any other walk of life is blatant too. Rich = do what the hell you like.
I'd like to see a salary cap, so no one can spend over the agreed salary per year. That would sort them out.

Colin Murray (yes, I know) said before that one of the big inputs to city's increased commercial revenue is by selling their intellectual property rights to other clubs.

The other clubs being? Manchester City ladies FC.
Melbourne Hearts.
New York FC.

All of whom they fucking own.

What intellectual property rights are they selling?

Sneaky.

There was a suspicion regarding their recent accounts because ticket revenue doubled - and the numbers don't add up. It was guessed that they might have mortgaged future ticket receipts and counted it as revenue - which must be a questionable accounting practice.

I believe it's basically so the other clubs can use their name & logo for promotional purposes. Which you'd assume most companies would let their sister company use for free.

While Citeh probably inflated that income in their books...

To the tune of £22.5 million quid . You could probably buy MC ladies and Melbourne Hearts for about 10p where the fuck are they supposed to get money like that from and all for the privilege of using the Man City logo - what a joke. Not very opaque financial doping

Sportsmail's Matt Barlow reports: 'Jose Mourinho took a thinly-veiled swipe at Manchester City’s 'dodgy' approach to the transfer market as the January window swung shut.

'Without mentioning Monday’s opponents by name, Mourinho claimed not all clubs were showing the same commitment to UEFA’s Financial Fair Play (FFP) regulations as others.

'Mourinho said: 'Some clubs are feeling FFP as a fair FFP, and some others are feeling FFP as a dodgy FFP,' said Mourinho.

''We don’t want emergency plans, it’s not our profile now. The players we're signing now are the right ones for our future: Matic,Salah, Zouma, a young kid for the future.''

Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho believes it will be "impossible" for clubs to compete with Manchester City if Financial Fair Play is not enforced.
City's vast spending in an era of Financial Fair Play has come in for repeated veiled criticism from Mourinho, who is keen to see how the economic regulations are explained and enforced by UEFA.
"If they (football's authorities) want to make it impossible to compete with City, it's impossible," he said.
"Chelsea are not competing outside what is important for us, the 'fair' Financial Fair Play.
"We are working, thinking and believing that Financial Fair Play is going to be in practice.
"So there are things that are impossible for us (to do)."
Mourinho, whose Chelsea team face City in a crucial top-of-the-table battle on Monday night, speaks from experience after recruiting many players for large sums during his first spell as Chelsea boss at the start of Roman Abramovich's Russian revolution.
When Mourinho first worked in England he admits "it was a free world".
He added: "There was no Financial Fair Play. If your club was a rich one, your owner a rich one, there were no rules. It was an open situation."
It meant Chelsea were unpopular, but City are attracting admirers with their attacking brand of football.
Mourinho said: "In my time we were accused of buying the title, no? Because our owner was Mr Abramovich, just arrived in the country. Maybe now people see City in a different way.
"Times change. Maybe 10 years ago a huge investment in the club was something that people hated and in this moment it's something people accept in a different way.
"Probably, if UEFA goes with Financial Fair Play until the last consequence and they explain really to the people what Financial Fair Play means, maybe in that moment people will realise that some teams are different to other teams.
"But it's something I don't think about at this moment."

Chelsea spending over the summer/winter windows:

This season - £150mill (£91mill net)
Last season - £94mill (£74mill net)
Season before last - £84mill (£58mill net)

Is Mourinho smoking crack?!

He's moaning about City with FFP and their net and gross spending on transfers is getting larger and larger. They've spent 150mill on transfers in 2 windows the fucking nutter.

FFP is (or is supposed to be) based on net losses, so if they are not making losses, they can spend what they want.

I actually don't know Chelsea's figures, but have they been making losses the last few years?

Yep, small 1mill profit last year, and then a 49mill loss on this years books. Obviously spending 100mill quid each year on players has a massive impact on that.

Pure money laundering - Melbourne Heart have no money - average home attendance is about 5,000.

Put into perspective - biggest team they've ever played are Everton.

🙂

It would be interesting to find out where they and Man City ladies found their share of £22.5 million from!!!
