According to German media Pep Guardiola will leave Bayern München next summer and take over at Man City. Carlo Ancelotti will replace him, probably the reason why he didnt join us. I prefer Klopp anyway.

Pep's already won the champions league though, that's not a new challenge for him, the premier league would be.

If Pep doesn't win the CL with Bayern then his tenure there will no doubt be regarded as a failure.

The league almost delivers itself at the moment. Pep needed to add panache and another CL trophy.

Carlo to Bayern or Pep to city. That's not a real challenge as these clubs are already title contenders in their respective leagues. Winning with a non title contender imho, that's where the real challenge is.

Me too. Always my first choice by a mile.

Why is Pep leaving Bayern? Seems a decent gig to me.

He's always wanted to manage in the Premiership, and a team that have been so openly desperate to have him as manager, with more money than Croesus and zero pedigree in Europe - which he can fix - is probably a very obvious destination.

I hope he stays at Bayern. We don't need City with a manager as good as him, they're hard enough to beat as it is.

The reports at the time the focus switched to Klopp suggested the reason why that happened was that FSG wanted Ancelotti to sign a three-year deal but he wouldn't go beyond two.

I'm happy with Klopp but there's no way I'd have preferred him to Ancelotti in a straight choice between the two.

Absolutely.

Winning the title with City is only marginally less difficult than winning the title with Bayern.
