He's better than Downing and would've cost half the fee Downing did.

Btw i'm not saying we should have signed him, but if we're looking at average British players then i'd prefer to go for the ones that aren't going to cost double what they're actually worth.

I imagine we would have ended up paying inflated fees for whoever we had gone for last summer.

It was fairly well known that we had money to spend. If we had been in for any player the selling club would have raised the asking price.

You make your own luck. If you don't get bodies in the box you can only cry about bad luck for so long before you need to think about whether it's luck or logic

How does anyone know he's better than Downing?
Either way if it's going to be a successful transfer window we must stay away from the Premiership and look beyond the mid table dross that we have bought the last couple seasons.

Yet another game we deserved to get more out of. You make your own luck of course

it all comes down to confidence. there have been keepers that have come to anfield and pulled off some utterly unbelieveable saves, it that happens enough then you go 'it's going to be one of those days', however if you are more clinical you take the confidence into the next game and so on. our criminal misses earlier in the season have come back to haunt us but I believe if we continue to make chances (genuine chances) we can fix our problems in front of goal with the correct purchases.

next season the gap between 4th and 1st will be really difficult to close given the spending power of city and the experience and know how of manu but I definately think we can close the gap of where we are in the league and 4th. I think the cup competitions have made us take our eye off the ball and in the case of lucas lost us a key player.

I heard the Lizards were doing a deal with a consortium of interstellar parasitic shapeshifters. You might have seen one in the 1982 movie The Thing.

What was that?

That I would be surprised if they were selling the club completely, but it wouldn't surprise me if they were looking for a minority shareholder to pump in money that could be used for a stadium.

Because borrowing the money would be difficult.

Oh right. I missed that. Yeah, I think you could be right there

Is this a bad thing?

Hey what's with the going off topic?

finding a minor shareholder in our current state will be difficult as well.

But anyways the club is for sale. No one who owns any of it gives a fuck about it. Lebron James got given some of it in a brown paper bag. It's just something some investors own until they don't. If anyone wants it enough they can buy it. As Parry said, you only sell the family silver once.

And you're as " guilty " of that as every one else - we all have our moments. Oh, just to let you know. We can see deleted posts also.

I remember when you used to be a decent poster, who didn't just post populist claptrap, whose posts weren't smothered in arrogant undertones, who didn't go after certain posters time and time and time again, who didn't post hissy-fits everyday about the state of forum despite being thanked on a daily basis,

Nobody calls you up on acting a cunt because of all the hours you've thrown in, but you can go fuck yourself.

Like I say, we all have our moments.

But much easier than in H and G regime, as we have very little debt and are quite healthy compared to a lot of other clubs.

And we are Liverpool.
