I'm probably in the minority here, but I actually would've preferred Arsenal to go past Monaco this round, so they get 2 more games in April. They can then get utterly humiliated in the quarter finals. Their league fixtures are really soft in the CL quarter final period - if they get through, they play Burnley, then CL first leg, then Sunderland, then CL second leg, and finally Chelsea. They'd be fancied to win comfortably against the first two, so I was hoping the distraction and exertions in midweek might increase the chances of them slipping in these gimme's.

That's from a cold benefits assessment (for LFC) standpoint. Putting that aside... LOL what a funny score to wake up to today. 😀

I needed Arsenal to win to complete a docket in the bookies but that third goal certainly softened the blow. It was Wengers 17th year in the CL and still being out played by modest opposition.

Perhaps he needed to play someone alongside Coquelin to provide some protection. City should have deployed a similar tactic against Barca.
