I'd love to smash your fucking head in you attention seeking mong.

what's wrong with speculating that scenario?

Re: Aquilani

Don't worry, hes a good player.

I'm a little worried about the lack of attacking talent we've been linked with this summer. I really don't want to watch N'Gog and Voronin against shite opposition and wonder why we failed to score in a 0-0 draw at Anfield.

Re: Aquilani

he's averaged 12 games a season for the last 5 years. even if he is a good player how can we be chasing someone with that record and then paying 4 million pounds less than alonso for.

and don't get me started on voronin.

i was hoping n'gog would go out on loan till xmas at least.

I was about to post this, £15.3 million is a nicer figure, just over half the Alonso fee, we need one of the two David's from Valencia to make this summer a good one though.

Re: Aquilani

As the reports on this guy is very good, and he probably is a player valued by Benitez, I still think that the game in Italy is a bit to much different than the one played in England. In Italy the pressure is more covering areas whereas the physical touch is much tougher in Premier league. This makes me convinced that he will need a season at least to get used to the game, and by offering this amount on a injury prone guy who needs to adapt we are very very much depending on Lucas having a good season. Scary shit!

Until Balague confirms this i don't believe it.

Re: Aquilani

I don't think there are that many who are enthused with the prospect of trading Alonso for Aquilani but it's more than likely going to happen so we may as well just hope for the best at this point.

It's hardly like the Degen situation where all those who had seen him play expressed their bewilderment at his signing.

If Gerrard was a 10 out of 10, how would you rate Xabi?

Re: Aquilani

I thought this player looked ace when channel 5 showed italian highlights, though he wasn't great vs Scum in the CL, though none of their team was.

Re: Aquilani

This fella sounds like a bit of a cross between Harry Kewell and Alonso, but not as good as either?
Kewell was just a superb player at Leeds, a real talent, but injuries really destroyed his progression at the most critical time of his career to be considered amongst the worlds best.

Aquilani, injuries have hampered his progress - but there is still time to get it sorted and for him to become a top player.

Re: Aquilani

Roma legend Giuseppe Giannini has exclusively told Goal.com that Alberto Aquilani will be the perfect signing for Liverpool once Rafael Benitez lures him to Anfield.

Aquilani has been strongly linked with the Premier League club of late. Italian reports suggest he has agreed personal terms, but that has not been confirmed officially. In light of the developments from Merseyside, Goal.com caught up with Giannini for an exclusive insight into what the Reds can expect should they complete the Aquilani move.

"Aquilani would do well at Liverpool," Giannini told Goal.com.

"He would not have any problems adapting to the Premier League. English football is perfect for Aquilani. He has all the right characteristics to do well there. He will show Liverpool what he is all about.

"I have no doubts that Liverpool will sign a great player in Aquilani. I think his future will be in the Premier League."

Earlier reports from Spain claimed the Italian had already signed for Liverpool, but there has been no official confirmation from either club.

It's a done deal unless Russia drops some nukes on Rome.
Xabi out £27m
Arbeloa out £3.5m
= 30.5m

Aquilani in £14.5m

Still leaves 16m in generated sales money.
There MUST be another.
