I was told some months ago that he was bound for QPR.

Same person told me we had asked Citeh about Tevez.
[/quote] I wouldn't be surprised if we asked though I doubt if he will be coming.
I wouldn't say no.

We should blow our budget in january on a winger with pace. Hoilett would be my choice.

Back underway at Ewood Park. Junior Hoilett is a real talent - quick feet, clever on the field. #LFC among those watching him

Neither would I, and I think he'd love it here. If he played like he (mostly) did at Citeh he'd be an instant hero, and we could really take off with him on board.

He'll most probably end up in Italy though.

I like that, a lot!

No thanks, I don't know what it is about him, it's not even the media myth about him being a cock (he's not, but he was when he was younger), I just never fancied him as a Liverpool player and always thought his short spell with us was overhyped. And let's not forget, that was fucking aeons ago, when Heskey was still quite good and while Baros was emerging on the scene. His record in recent years has been poor. I'd (as I said in the Summer) like to see us go for a young emerging talent who we can develop on the fringes while using as and when's needed. I really wish we'd got Sturridge when we sold Torres.

Yep, good shout. Sturridge has all the makings to be world class - quick, strong, skillful and can finish. Does miss a fair few chances but he's a real talent.

Surely he's nailed on to make England's squad for the Euro's.

I don't often disagree with you but I do on this. There's no way he was "overhyped" when he was with us before. We played some brilliant attacking football in that six-month spell, Nico was the focal point of it and the whole team played better around him. The way he destroyed Newcastle at Anfield was one of the best individual performances I've seen in a Liverpool shirt in over fifty years. Naffing him off was GH's first serious mistake. He isn't the player he was then, but we could do worse.

Nor am I convinced about Sturridge by the way - great talent, but he still isn't a regular even at Chavski. That's got to mean something.

Baros played one game when Anelka was here, he truly was emerging 😉

Chelsea Football Club and Chinese side Shanghai Shenhua have agreed terms for the permanent transfer of Nicolas Anelka in the January transfer window.

Since arriving from Bolton Wanderers in January 2008, the 32-year-old Frenchman has scored 59 goals in 185 games for Chelsea.

£9mil in two years, not a bad retirement.

I've always liked Anelka, good for him. Rumours are Drogba's in talks with a club in China too, for an even more lucrative deal

Would Chelsea risk him firing us into the CL for the sake of a couple of million they don't exactly need?

He'll go abroad.

Quoted for truth.

Same club apparently. They can't have done much research - the Dogbreath/Nico combo has never been convincing.

I actually love them both as players. Drogba always deserved to play for a better club than soulless Chelsea. I'll be happy for him when he finally does leave
