The lack of Adrian love is worrying. We have a clear number one but in Adrian we have one of the better deputies on our books.

A couple of years ago if you'd offered me Adrian over Mignolet I'd have laughed but he's been a pretty decent backup to Allison/ Becker. It must be hard to sit on the sidelines for weeks on end and then come in and be compared to the best goalkeeper on the planet. He's made mistakes but (unlike our previous goalies) he's wiped them off and got on with the job.

A deputy is never going to be as good as your number one but I like Adrian as our backup

I find it weird when people are abusing each other and it’s not me in the firing line.

I’ve no issue with Adrian. He’s no world beater but considering the mistake Karius made and Ming before him leading to goals, Adrian’s a big step up.

Sure he’s not gonna save everything but he’s gonna save most and looks to respond to conceding well. The Chelsea game was case in point.
