I'd have Ajmal as one of the favourites, but i wouldn't have backed Amla personally mate.

This tournament looks very open to me. I guess you can take your pick from Sri Lanka, India and Pakistan with the West Indies, Australia and South Africa just behind that pack. I didn't see any value in backing a winner, considering the odds all seemed quite tight at around the 6/1 mark.

Another tempting bet i saw was the 6/5 on 2 or more tons being scored. With quite a few muggy teams being in the tournament, i could easily see that bet coming in before the group stages are over and done with. I might re-visit that one later on tonight.

Hales could be a good shout. If he can put in a big score in the first game against Afghanistan, his odds should come crashing down.

Personally i never fancy the quicks to do too much damage in Sri Lanka (You just watch Malinga romp home with 50 wickets now).

I seem to remember that I put £10 on every outsider in each game in the last world cup and finished in profit due to Ireland beating England and one other shock result (I think Netherlands beating somebody - maybe New Zealand).

I'll probably do the same again as I have little or no knowledge of the teams/players but fancy some involvement.

I've just laid a hefty wager on Mendis to be the top wicket taker in the T20 cricket world cup @ 34/1.

He's playing on home soil and imo should be amongst the favourites in this area.

He's come in to 7/2 after his great display today. I've just taken odds between 3.5 - 4-5 in a lay bet, pretty much £650 up either way.

Cheers mate

That probably breaks me roughly even now (which is a first for me 😉 )

I couldn't believe it when i turned on the telly just as he took his 4th wicket. In my excitement i probably layed off too soon, he's come down even further since.

Excellent work. I wish I had the patience and time to do all the trading you do. Instead I just do smaller stake bets for the interest which is exactly the type of punter bookies love!

Anyway for the champs league this week I did an acc of Dortmund, PSG, United and Bayern so still interest in that.
Also did a 1st goalscorer yankee, Lewandowski and Ibra did the business last night, have Hazard and Rvp tonight. Even if one of them notched first I would be very happy

Keiswetter and Sehwag to be top run scorer @ 40/1 and 16/1. I'm just hoping Keiswetter can manage a good score in his first innings so that i can lay off, but i think i'll let the Sehwag wager ride until the latter stages of the tournament.

Thanks AC. It does take a lot of patience and time to bet the way I do and to make a decent profit. I watch about 6 hours of lower league football a week including all the highlights of every game. Also, when I am watching a game and betting I really need to focus on the game and the betting website which means I am not exactly great company during the game. The upside is I love watching football so the 6 hours of "research" is actually a pleasure and I make a decent profit most seasons.

I can't believe i didn't back this (If Luke Wright had scored one more run it would have come in yesterday).
